That's an interesting idea. My biggest concern with that format would be a lack of impact resulting from the subversion of expectations. A lot of the experience comes from the feeling of dread or tension as you realize what the story is building up to.
If you're, like, finishing one scene by nervously asking her on a date and starting the next with "You fucked up and she's crying in her bedsheets", there's a disconnect created. I can't really think of a way to instill that sense of dread and sadness in the reader with a smash cut like that.

I had an absolute blast finally getting to write these chapters. This also marks all of the story I had outlined in detail so far, so from here on I think I will take things a little slower by writing a chapter at a time with a singular idea for the chapter and flesh out the details as I write it.
