Watching Ina inspired me to try drawing again, but every time I pick up a pencil to do my reps, I get disappointed and give up because I'm not immediately improving, or at least even decent at all. This happens with anything new I try, and it's frustrating that I can recognize this but can't change my mindset no matter how hard or often I try. I do hope other Takodachis are doing their reps instead of giving up like me.

Discipline is the answer. Tie your reps to either a time or a place, and teach your body to only do Reps when you're there or it is that time. That way you can separate your work and play, so that everything just doesnt get mixed up in a mush.
e.g. i only have 1 computer for both work and play, so i set it so i only work for 2 hours, rest for an hour, then repeat, starting from 9:00 every day

Write down the next thing you're going to work on, then cross it out when you're done.
