HoloEN was originally supposed to have 3 members that were each extremely talented: Mori, Ina, and Gura, each with their own manager.
However at some point management realized they didn't get along very well with eachother as a "group" and their motifs clashed too much. So the decision was made to add 2 more members at the last minute to bring it all together.
Mori recommended Kiara, and Gura recommended Ame, since they were real life friends and already streaming to double digit viewers on Twitch.
Cover, completely ignorant of the western streamer market and having very low expectations to begin with, had no problem adding these 2 completely no-name talentless girls since it would at least serve to highlight their more talented peers if they flopped.
Jenma was assigned as their manager since she's the most inexperienced of the 3 managers and therefore got given the bitch work on top of managing Gura.

Kiara and Ame's relationship with their genmates also shows their differing views on the situation and worldviews in general based on their upbringing.
