You have to keep in mind that streaming is inherently a parasocial medium. People are pretty much giving up a ton of time and money to watch you, it's natural that they'll grow attached after a while.
Thing is that with vtubers in particular, it's very easy for some to lean into GFE/BFE for quick subs/cash, and unless you set up audience expectations properly you'll run into a ton of headaches if you have no clue what you're doing.
