We also lost Deaver, who became a sukonbu/助手くん. That one feels extra odd to me given the arc he went through of lewding Okayu, then making his own not-Okayu character because he felt bad about it or something, then back to Okayu, and then to Fubuki/Koyori.

Pretty weird how trying to attract coomers alienates your original fans who would bust their ass generating content for you and replaces them with dudes who want to jack off and then move on to the next source of stimulation.

It's kinda normal to lose interest after a while, most people do. The holomembers themselves are well aware of that fact as well, you can see them mentioning it here and there as "when you grow bored of me someday" or something similar.
