I know this is probably old discussion at this point but I've been trying to get more into Ike lately and does it bother anyone else that he doesn't have teeth? His design is otherwise great but they completely fucked up his mouth, with the lack of teeth and the inside being a solid color. Shin and Izuru both have mouths that look completely fine so I don't know who is to blame for Ike's. It would be nice if his model got a touchup that fixed his mouth but I have no idea if anyone is even aware of a problem or annoyed by it or if it's just me.

Ok Fujos and Homos I need your help and I don't know where else to ask (don't send me to /asp/, they don't know shit):
I'm a 4view and I'm thinking of entering the vtubing scene. I can try to pander to bros or I could try to pander to you with the design.
The problem is that I only watch female vtubers and I only know about what the male fandom wants.
I'm not gay myself but I don't mind pandering. For me it will just be an acting exercise and I want to make something someone actually enjoys and it seems the male audience doesn't really want brotubers so why bother.
What do you folks want? I have confidence in my voice but not so much on my content.

A nice design definitively helps, but the main thing is personality. I feel that as long as you are cool/cute/nice enough, like engaging with your audience, and give some fanservice, you'll get some yumes. The key thing to get fujos is to genuinely just be friends with whoever you're collabing with. We can smell when you're trying to hard. Good luck!

Don't pander doing something you might regret down the line, like what happened with Mysta. We can clearly tell when you're forcing stuff too so only flirt if you can pull it off convincingly and plan to keep it up. Asides from that model helps hugely, I've watched a couple of people who have reincarnated and it's amazing how much a good model helps but you'll find your niche if you're just yourself with a bit of keyfabe for flavor if you've already got numbers.

Advice on pandering: don't. You don't need to. Pandering and making it as obvious as Aster and Mysta in his first few months will only attract underage SEAfags. Interact normally with other dudes and if you have good chemistry, you'll have plenty of fujoshi fans who will enjoy the interactions. Fujoshi make content on their own and don't need to be "pandered" to. Do plenty of solo streams and post-game zatsudans where you connect with your audience. Be yourself, don't worry about trying to appear a certain way right off the bat, and have a pretty strong lore because we love chunni shit. Do karaokes often, even if you can't sing, and don't be flirty with your female coworkers if you want lots of yume fans. Talk about your nerdy interests, no matter how weird or silly you may think they are. Overall it's pretty easy, you don't need to try to be calculating about anything and you'll get the hang of things as you go. Best of luck anon.

it's hard to put into words. im kindred/lucub who initially got baited with vox/shoto fujobait. but i stay because i feel like my oshis hold genuine passion and affection for their audiences and work really hard to be creative and funny not just for the views but because they genuinely want to make their viewers happy.

livers who try to pander or force things too hard you can smell from a mile away. theres nothing i cant stand more than like say hypothetically, a cheap vox imitator who doesnt really care or respect his audience but throws out bait in hopes of getting cash and clout. it doesn't work and wont hold up.

ill just echo the other anons here and say to be earnest and genuine. bits and pieces of other advice ive seen while watching luxiem:

Not fujo or homo (yumejo) but male tuber wise I just want more who aren't shy about having a female audience watching them and giving fanservice crumbs. That doesn't mean always pandering (especially forcing themselves to do so) but also just being friendly toward as other anons said. Yumes like vtubers who are engaged with/mindful of their chat while fujos will naturally always find a way with how you interact with other males, but over all those audience along with others will mainly come and stay based on your personality in general. Vox's pandering is something many people including myself eat up and are glad for but if he wasn't also a big passionate dork/nerd about things I'm unsure how much I would have kept with him; same with Fulgur who doesn't do pandering but is a joy to hear talking regardless of what it's about due to how he is. Having a good model definitely does help since it's what drew my attention to Luxiem but the things I just mentioned can still make up for a weaker one. Also don't force yourself to do anything that you personally aren't a fan of even if you think your audience might enjoy it since they can sense whether you actually enjoy it or not. Always do what you do really enjoy in the end and people will enjoy it even if it's content/a game they aren't normally into because it's you specifically making it, gl.

I feel like what Vox does doesn't feel like pandering. Yeah he's pretty obvious and blatant with it but it doesn't feel like pandering anymore due to how much he talks about loving it and how much work and passion goes into his ASMR roleplays. Maybe at first but I feel like his natural charisma has something to do with it sometimes. Maybe it's just me but that's how I feel.
