Hey all, I don't know where to put this so let me try here since it is more Suisei related. After seeing the Hoshiyomi in Holocure, I was, well, not really feeling it it fit as well as it should have. They felt kinda like a cute placeholder sprites that really couldn't be replaced with anything. Anyhoo, at work it struck me seeing a vid about Mikochi talking about how much Suisei likes stuffed animals that she was even irl feeding one of her stuffed animals with potatoes in front of Miko in a get-together. Miko was saying that around stuffed animals, her cool demeanor melts and goes straight to kawaii mode. I kinda chuckled, then realized that is a genius idea for a Suisei fan. You know since 35P's have a sweet design with those awesome red/white collars. Since Suisei doesn't give us a look, why not go full Thanatos "Fine, we will do it ourselves"?

So I thought, what would be something not just US/English fans, but Japanese fans would like to also represent them for any future Hololive events that represents her adventures as much as us.
(With the added bonus, if it eventually gets cute enough with mass collective community input, changes, artwork that an irl plushie Suisei would love to actually hold and hug)

This is just a preliminary art done in MS Paint. I'm not an artist as you can tell. That said, I am purposely providing the art for the community of 4chan /vt/ as an initial concept art that we all can all work on, change, commission better art for, and hopefully something like this gets adopted by at least 4chan Suisei fans. I'm sure if Hololive wanted to take a cue from it, they would need to make design changes for them and Suisei to own the rights to so I'm not going to pretend this is perfect as it is. If you don't like the colors of the beret or other things as it is, then have at it.

I further don't want any credit for it so I'm not adding personal information in this post.

Here's the thing, while it's true there are a fuck ton of good cumbia songs out there, almost all songs carry the same series of 5 drum-like beats, on repeat, for the entirety of the song, which makes them less unique and in some cases it can get very annoying.

Also both genres are now completely difficult to tell from one another, they both fused with the trap style of singing, rythm and shit, and if the lyrics aren't about fucking whores till the start of the next century they sing about drugs and guns.

The Rock I grew with retained the same "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of quality up until the start of the last decade because the topics were all falling under the same line of "romantic couples", "teenager struggles", "depression", "rebel spirit", etc. and the sound and vocals were great, every song was unique.

the idea of a teddy bear is pretty decent. i don't think the teddy having suichan's eyes would look very good though, it's just a clash of styles and even in that mockup it's kinda weird. i think mochidoru-styled simple eyes would work a lot better. i like the scarf, perhaps the scarf itself could be a comet instead of it simply containing a comet. i don't see the point in a backpack though. overall, it's fine, but a bit more than just a beret and stars could make it stand out i guess.

i get your position since i used to be the same kind of ROCK IS CULTURE, but eventually i just started feeling pretentious and stopped, especially since i was just comparing the absolute classics to the radio garbage that ends up in top 50 on spotify which makes no sense (fun exercise: go check the songs that have won grammy awards since the 70s on wikipedia and try seeing if you've actually even heard any of them in your life), and i was just robbing myself of actually enjoying a lot of music.
at the end of the day, the "classics" will always be there to be enjoyed, there will always be new amazing music being made that will blow you away, and there's no point in sweating about "junk" music being put out as well when some of it can even be a lot of fun.

Amen to this. I did say that rock was the stuff I happened to have grown liking the most, but even then I was often eager to look up to other genres to see if it stuck within me.
Old vidya music gave me a taste for techno, Rom Di Prisco being amongst the time capsule of artists for that genre; Piano, Jazz and other sort of relaxing music were something that didn't caught my interest until about 8 years ago or so, and well of course, JRock and JPop kept me motivated in my teenage years and it still does nowadays thanks to Suityan.

Based I genuinely love the astronaught design. But the issue is if she did like your design how would you feel about the legal/financial side of things in the event it became some kind of merch, or would you just be ok with credit for the design or a one off payment?

I don't know how all the legal stuff works or what deals they make with artists. I just think Cover would probably avoid a mascot made by a 3rd party to avoid legal issues over ownership. Wasn't there some dispute between Projekt Melody and her designer after she became more successful than he expected and he wanted a bigger cut? It just seems like a company may want to avoid that scenario, especially given how mascots can be tied to merch sales like the takodachi are. I'm not trying to disuade you from trying, I'm just not aware of other girls making fan mascots offical mascots.

It's mostly based on Suiseis love for plushies. Someone mentioned axe would work thematically, yet it doesn't really fit. The initial accessories were to connect with her thematically more with project Winter/Among Us etc. The comet we got was thematic, and it just didn't really fit well either.

Um, wait, formless? So what happened to your comments on it not fitting her theme? I'm sorry, you are kinda giving two criticisms that upon my reflection, just seem to contradict each other. Or perhaps you can put some concept art so we can at least see what you are aiming for? I doubt Suisei would like to cuddle a plushy steak. It is generic, for a reason, so it could be quickly adopted by most Hoshiyomis here, and overseas. Even Hololive tends to aim for simple very basic figures much like Yagoos company on Hello Kitty and Gudetama. The other being Ted bundy/teddy bear psychopath theme. But the other aim is to also make it very easy for doodlers, artfags, and regular people to draw it up fast.

You understand if it ever becomes popular, Hololive themselves would need to make adjustments for it to be more like takodachi so they could fully own it without having to pay anyone out.
