It's genuinely most likely a mixture of these two. Which sucks because Gura was definitely very enthusiastic during the actual reveal, and the general reception to the stream was very positive before it was clear how bad the rigging was. Also if the rrats about her having imposter syndrome are true (which I believe are all but confirmed if memory serves me right) then this is definitely fueling her beliefs that she doesn't deserve any of the success she's achieved, or even that she somehow deserves this controversy.
