The model doesn’t need to be a one to one fit however it does need to be generally similar in size to you or else the rigging and movement will look weird. Body type over all matters less be generally the 3D model needs to be around the same height as you

You can radically change things like breast and butt size with no issue, other than clipping if you go cartoonishly large. The only way to maybe mess up tracking would be something like making the legs uneven too long or putting a joint too high/low since tracking software sees you as a skeleton. I know that at least two Holo roommates are significantly fatter than their characters and it's never caused any issues.
