Alright, so lets talk about some stuff so we have a bit of a timeline to go on because there's a lot of people spreading things here and there, things like "Gura is lazy, it's her fault" yada yada. Anyways, lets get some things straight.

1. Here is where she discusses in her member stream that her original bday plans, which was much more fleshed out and grandiose, had been axed right as her birthday was around the corner. This is already flag number 1 for Cover.

2. Here is the timestamp in that same member stream where Gura spoke about her Daki and that Cover denied the possibility due to laws. Flag number 2 on Cover, as we now see that they still haven't even produced the merchandise to be sold at this point.

3. Here is the timestamp of her talking about having 2 year long projects. You can already confirm that 1 of those was her animated video, as the animators themselves said it's been a project 1 year in the making. The other project is a song, which we still have yet to see. This could be Gura's doing though as she's been vocal about being very anal about making sure the music she releases personally is something she's comfortable with.
4. The current theory/rumor is that because of the axed plans, Kanauru must've been sent data to use to salvage her birthday live. This is actually quite possible, and I'll explain why:
During the live we saw Kiara in her Smol3D form. Kiara had already been vocal about how she hasn't been able to use a studio at all and was at this point forced to go to Ame's studio to record her own live. Because Gura's project got cancelled at the time, this was likely a rushed up project during that time period as Kiara had not even landed in the US yet. Basically, Kanauru saved Gura's ass here because of Cover's rushed judgment on the matter.
