I think for the most part the scouts/interviewers do vet the meaningful lies from the smart ones.

People auditioning for this 'gamer wave' have to be able to walk the walk or they won't get in. They probably asked Selen for evidence that she actually had Pred badges (if it wasn't in her audition video). Saying you play Minecraft and APEX a lot doesn't mean you're good and therefore there's nothing tangible to prove. It just sounds good. Pomu and Enna were not picked in the hopes they'd be crazy Minecraft/APEX players, they were more likely hired for their entertainment value and singing.

I got hired for a product manager position at an IT company because I prepared for my interview and knew exactly what to say, also lied about having 4 years of experience at a startup from my home country that I knew they would not be able to contact. Got hired, learned the job in half a year, I'm a senior after 2 years. Nobody around me is trying to work hard, so it's not even difficult to do a good enough job for everybody to be satisfied. I literally play video games for half the day, that's how easy it is.

That's how you fucking do it, forget whatever you were told by stupid people with stupid advices. Fake it till you make it. I guarantee you that 90% of people in highly paid positions got there exactly like that.
