I play niche indie games a lot on stream. Becoming a part of their communities has helped my numbers greatly when I have streamed these kinds of games, particularly if it is normally a dead game on twitch that nobody ever streams. Often these types of games have hardcore fanbases that would love some streamer to stream their favorite games. So posting your stream on the game's discord can work quite well. Otherwise you basically have to bring your own followers to each stream.

Not sure if there is a similar type of thing you can do with rpg maker games but I wouldn't be surprised.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. what is the point of aiming to be a corpo, especially a big one, if you already have to have a very established following?
think about it, every holo had a decent enough career before being picked up by the company enough to live off of - especially without company meddling, revenue sharing and worrying about game permissions. i don't see why any of the girls from gen 2 wanted to be apart of it so bad enough to leave behind that freedom, and honestly the overall appeal of corpos has gone down immensely ever since i started streaming.

Holo and Niji give clout, money, and fame. Fame and clout do go in hand in hand but aren't the same thing. Any other corpo probably isn't worth it and they just give small time connections. Looking at Nijis new Iluna group some of them have already become low 3views. Luxium and Noctyx has a lot of Chinese fans and viewerbase and pandering to China never works out in the long run and only the Fujo males get that buff and they need the model as well.

It's pretty well known that Niji talents only get around a 25% cut of superchats. Take someone pretty well-loved like Pomu and even they aren't doing incredible numbers superchat-wise, even though she typically hovers around top 10 when it comes to niji superchat numbers. According to playboard, Pomu has pulled in $339,840 in superchats since starting in May 2021, so about a 15-month period. $339840 * .25 = $84690, and then $84690 /15 = $5646. So, Pomu is looking at around $5646 * 12 = $67752 from superchats a year, and that number is likely pretax. Shave off another ~25% for taxes and you're looking at around $50793.75. Now obviously, there are other factors in there. Memberships, merch sales, even a salary in some cases. Let's generously assume this all adds $100000 at a 25% tax rate. So, $50793.75 + $75000 = $125793.75.

I don't think anyone would deny that this (generous) estimate is good money, but it's really nothing stellar. There are hundreds of careers that would require far less effort and earn far more money. I mean, I personally pull in about that much dough and I'm only two years into my career. Keep in mind that Pomu is towards the top of the pack for *all* of Niji. So even if you go corpo, you have to compete to get to the top of the corpo's pack if you want the fabled "big bucks" that you're striving for. Simply getting into a corpo does NOT mean that you have "made it." In fact, I think you're better off trying to go as far as you can while being indie because no one is scraping off your revenue. If you got up to Pomu's level of viewership on your own, you'd be taking a LOT more to the bank than she would.

If you want even more of a blackpill, look into Pippa's numbers and contemplate on whether or not a smaller corpo would ever be worth it.

they exist, Hespera and Eira woolcott are known examples of this. A lot of women vtubers are massive fans of fugo and yume stuff too. Even the new Nijis have someone who talks about this

The only thing that's stopping you from succeeding is the fact that you keep mentioning you're a frigid bitch which might or might not hit it off with an audience and the fact that you have to at least be entertaining in vtubing to be successful so if it doesnt work out you might have to change your tactic. I don't particularly mind what you are offering and i don't see why it couldn't work. It's often not about looking at other streamers and feeling bad that you can't be like them, it's about finding out who you are and make people stay for you. Everyone has a type. I'm a very calm male chuuba which is like the antithesis to the popular souped up female chuubas full of energy and while it sounds like i'm just a boring guy, i do imagine a world where i can own that personality and set myself apart from others and most importantly offer something else than the usual sthick.

You do seem a little bit lacking in confidence, you make that abundantly clear, so you do remind me of myself posting the exact same stuff back in February here. If it's really something you want to try, I'd be disappointed if you gave up before even starting, just because you pre-made up a bunch of excuses for yourself.
