The game has no ship weaponry whatsoever. What people usually do is that they use the stasis gun to freeze the reaper in place, and then they knife it to death. Before the stasis runs out, they hit the reaper with another full charge and keep knifing.

I think its more about them having baseline knowledge of the game already, then applying it to new situations. "Blind" in this case wouldn't be blind of destiny itself but experiencing the raid for the first time. Throwing yourself into end--game content for any MMO without understanding the fundamentals is never fun.
