I'm sorry, you are replying to a shitpost.
The serious answer is that it's too difficult for any of us to follow every talented vsinger, so you have to prioritize. I don't like to have a backlog of anything other than >special streams, so if I don't watch a karaoke within 24hr of airing, I probably won't watch it.
I work from home during JST PM streaming hours, so I usually listen to utawaku during burger mornings. This is anyone from daily singers like mus1ca, ratio, yoshika, figaro, etc. That doesn't mean they are my favorite vsingers, but I enjoy that they keep me company during the day. On the other hand, there is only a single EN chuuba I will go out of my way to watch during burger primetime.
The mainstream opinions of the thread are generally good. If they weren't good, they wouldn't be discussed and replied to. Even if I could narrow down a list to let's say 20 singers, there would still be times I'm forced to prioritize.
You should never watch a chuuba out of obligation and only watch them because you are actively having fun and enjoying their content. If you are enjoying their content, nothing else matters. As an example, I like Shiina Nanoha for her ability to put me to sleep. Even so she's not a powerful singer, I find her voice relaxing and calming.

>> No.33044275

Not a single second passes without me playing any music. Can't you listen while working, what menial activity needs your full undisrupted attention while working from home full time???

>> No.33044417

>>33043452
As the other anon said, if you don't look a Twitter post and get a smile on your face knowing that the stream will be happening, then it's perhaps time to consider that you don't actually enjoy watching said person that much anymore. However, there is more to it then that, and that's where having a setlist with timestamps in the comments is really nice. For example, I really enjoy listening to Sou sing musical songs both because they're fairly uncommon and she's a great fit for them, so once I'm caught up on the people who I'd watch sing everything which is a pretty small number, I go to her channel and skim through the VODs for anything that I really want to hear, and she's not the only one I do this to. I think it helps a lot to sort people into your absolute favorites, the backups, and the fillers, even if it's rather difficult and not a thought you should share anywhere the chuubas might see it.

>having a setlist with timestamps in the comments is really nice
Pretty much the reason why I skip ongoing lives unless I have no backlog, but then that is my opportunity to seek 2view diamonds I've never heard before. Not too uncommon for vsingers to have a miniscule time aired to total time singing quotient.
>>33042021
>>33043452
I never dropped anyone yet, I don't watch ongoing livestreams though. You can compress time spent watching with a timestamp click like I've said above or skip to singing parts if the vsinger has not attracted any timestamp bros for the time being.
>>33044430
I concede, I have no point to make and I'm assuming you're taking advantage of timestamps already unless you're parasocial that need to catch content fresh and just have to catch every broadcast while they're happening.

>> No.33045359

>>33045227
I rarely use chat; I just like to watch streams live. It's the same for my oshi who is not a singer. I don't think it makes you parasocial just because of this preference alone, and I've talked about it here before. I take advantage of timestamps when I go back to vods of course, but the chances of me going to a stream from over a week ago are kind of small unless I'm just discovering the chuuba.

>> No.33045381

>>33042021
It's called taste. Like with all forms of media, taste changes with experience. The more good singers you know, the more examples you have to work with and compare to. Which is why the thread becomes exciting for me whenever a new singer debuts or gets discovered.

>> No.33045637

>>33044022
>>33044417
I caused this situation on my own because I also try to listen to vsingers while trying to work because it's fun but end up with too much because of greed and don't get anything done.
I think I am also getting slightly burnt out from watching multiple endurance streams and because there is always something happening on youtube, but at the same time the reason I watch these streams is because I enjoy them probably too much.
After some time you get attached and care more and then you have a multiplicative effect of crumbling under the notifications and barely being able to keep up.
I am trying to define priorities now to change this, but it's difficult to accept I can't have everything and have to give up on some things I enjoy.

>> No.33045777

>>33045637
Assuming you watch from PC, if you really want to stop yourself from crumbling under the notifications, then disable notifications from your phone. You will then only get YT notifications when you are already on the platform. The other option is only having notifications on for a select few.

>> No.33045871

>>33045637
Just gotta realize there's nothing wrong with having priorities with your entertainment and that you are not obligated to watch or support anyone who you aren't enjoying just because you did at one point. I also don't understand people who multi-stream drift karaoke. Regular streams is one thing, and I've used karaoke as replacement audio for regular streams before as well, but listening to two overlapping people singing just seems like a waste to me since it's like you're just trying to say to yourself that you watched the content instead of actually enjoying.

>> No.33046458

>>33045381
For me it's more than musical taste only.
It's a replacement for social interactions because I spend too much time in front of my computer.
I focus on watching live streams and interacting in the streams even if it's like a spam bot, because there is this sense of presence.
It also makes it more difficult to put limits on it because after some time I get attached and start to feel a form of obligation if a change in my preferences happen and my absence may get noticed by some of the smaller ones.
The most important part of a vtuber for me is their mindset and the energy they emit, but their singing ability is important too of course.

>>33045227
I was like this before, but what happens between those songs is half of the fun part of a stream.
Getting to know the streamer can make the stream and song more enjoyable.
I watch archives less often and focus on live streams which creates the additional problem of colliding with my own schedule because of the time difference.

>> No.33047152

>>33045777
Yes, I started doing this and cleaning up my notifications.

>>33045871
I am doing this although I am trying to reduce this because it makes me tired to listen to multiple streams at the same time and I can't focus on other things.
There is a part of social obligation in it which comes from attachment and greed of not wanting to miss out.
In my case I can listen to both and there was a time when I would watch 4-5 streams at the same time although not singing streams.

I used to fall asleep at school and needed to talk to someone or do something else at the same time to keep a high enough level of attention and not fall asleep.
Some people advise against multi tasking, but in my case I can't live without it.
Only when faced with a very difficult problem others would think unsolvable do I need to focus.
It's the same for streams.
People live at different speeds.
I can follow 2-3 different parallel conversations depending on the speed and my level of attention and will usually start doing something else when talking to one person only which they find rude because it's too slow and I won't be able to follow the conversation.

In the case of singing streams it's a form of de-multiplexing where I can listen to both in parallel in different smaller time slots and make the parallel streams into one flow with two different components.

Yes, it's annoying, because I have been using it as mostly a private archive and videos will get deleted after some time.
It's efficient at the part of extracting the clip I want and better than the youtube clip function.

I was also a bit curious to learn how youtube works.

I moved Metamoe to hiatus. I also added
- Choki who is good at KR and EN songs.
- Hizuki Yui who is good at belting rock songs.
- Oceane who has the melisma for old EN songs.
- Shiina and Lumi who are good at soft ballads, though in slightly different ways.
- Miryu who does those "white girl with ukelele" songs.
None is perfect, and I have written out my misgivings before. Miryu, for instance, insists on using no live effects or backing tracks (her piano is somewhat basic). But, there is enough talent and uniqueness there in each to deserve a mention.

I subbed to her but she fell off my radar. Looks like she stopped streaming for a while. Good to see she's still in the grind. Others would give up more easily. Her pitch in live singing is still shaky, but I will see if she can improve.

Another small vsinger I've forgotten for a while is Noir. She's also at risk of giving up (I wouldn't blame her after the things that have happened). But it seems she's gotten some good advice. Clearly labeled karaoke streams (set list is even in the thumbnail). Her views have improved (over 1k in last karaoke). I think she worked with Nina Saotome in Nina's last cover too.

I think she just does it for fun when she has time as a hobby, similar to Luci and traditional utaites, given her setlist's clear age with things like You which has to be over a decade old at this point. If they want to go to become the gfe chuuba corp that's their business and I'm sure they will, like you said, get their own retards as a result.
I watch mostly jp singers and listen to mostly jp music but I can't speak jp and have no interest in learning. So I think it's only natural that EN VSingers have an inherent appeal to me, especially if they are willing to sing in Jp. But there's really only one EN chuuba that I love to watch sing and I'm lucky if she sings once per month.

It's more based if you think of it like giving up on possible youtube income in order to sing what she wants without any limitations.

This is something I have been thinking of after spending time on 4chan, but it seems people who have autism are inflicted with a condition that makes them partially similar to psychopaths in their inability to connect with the spiritual world (caused by brain inflammation from vaccines during their childhood?)
But a similar result happens to healthier people after going through the education system and being taught to ignore their desires and physical needs while being forced to sit at a desk and indoctrinated into the wage slave working model.

They are stuck in the physical world and become overly focused on it, blind to the reality of the spiritual world it is projected from due to lacking "spiritual" empathy.
Those at the top want to force those living under them to live the same way as they do, disconnected from the spiritual world.
A result of this is that a very big % of the population become blinded by the physical world and lose sight of meaning because of overthinking.
Meditation is one attempt to reduce the noise from the physical world and overthinking to let the spiritual self communicate with the physical body.

From this point of view Suisei has a critical flaw.
She has lost her connection to her inner child and real emotions likely after trying to ignore her negative emotions in the past.
Unfortunately all emotions are part of the inner child and ignoring the negative means losing the positive too.
Suisei is attracted to Miko because Miko is the personification of an inner child and she is subconsciously trying to recover her own lost self by spending more time nearby someone who has what she is missing.

Singing is meant to convey spiritual vibrations, and the technical ability itself is useless if you cannot emit good energy.

Namirin's only my railgun cover was more popular on youtube than the one from the original singer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_sQUK418mM

140 million views for Renai circulation:
https://youtu.be/uKxyLmbOc0Q

She also sang an opening for an anime before being recruited by Hololive.
I liked to listen to her singing streams before she became a vtuber.
Irys' real issue is her low self esteem and her yes woman mindset which is a bad combination when working in a badly managed company with toxic fans where you need to be able to stand up for yourself.

That's why she is never getting the results she really desires because of a fear of getting disliked and gets forced to do things against her will by other members.

It’s both funny and sad how there are people in the comments of her latest cover bitching about Miona, saying they don’t like her covers, that they have subscribed only to Suzuna, and so on. Poor girl, doing a cover and all some people got to say is "wow your company and the other girl suck!". And it’s even worse for Miona, having to follow your company’s decision and now you get shit on by EOPs. Of course most people agree about this shitfest but you’d guess people have some decency to complain in a better way somewhere else.

>> No.33219349

It's understandable. It looks just like what they did to Cocoa. Using an existing channel to boost a new talent. You can try to be considerate of the girls but that in fact makes it feel worse. What they did to Cocoa and Suzuna are highly unusual moves in the industry. And there isn't a "better way somewhere else" for the average fan. In fact I doubt the company even cares given their notorious reputation and fiascos.
