Been reading on different threads about Polka streams, how she is kinda dependant on her viewers, and that her roommate has some kind of parasocial relationship with the whole hololive experience. I just saw a clip of her talking about a dream she had where she pretty much went to a suicide center to do the deed, and it somehow got me more interested in her.

They definitely knew eachother before Hololive, YAGOO said as much in the video message he sent her shortly after her debut. I think YAGOO gave her some advice earlier in Polka's career since she describes that he's like a father to her. But the respect is mutual, and YAGOO was chomping at the bit to get her into Hololive when her other responsibilities fell through.

I would greatly doubt that there wasn't ANY convincing of her to come to Cover. She probably was eyeing joining Cover soon after Okayu and Korone did and had to wait out her contract before making a move.
