The characters are all basically viable unlike Vampire Survivors where the characters are mostly different based on their starting weapon, making only a few really possible to use for deep runs. -vampire survivors has very few viable weapons/builds
-runs in vs take 30 minutes and feel very samey
-vampire survivors power creep is real and went from being hard and interesting to absolute cake now even without using eggs
-vampire survivors feels the same every run
-vampire survivor characters are distinguished solely by their stats

holocure:
-every character feels different, weapons and skills and ults are all different, and each character wants to be played a different way
-all characters are viable
-more interesting bosses and enemy patterns, stage 1 hard is essentially a bullet hell
-the runs don't get boring, you have to be on your toes or you die unless you go out of your way to break things
-better character designs, sprites and music

HoloCure is fine. Without the fanservice, I would have dropped it though.
Vampire Survivor is better because it has actual level design and more ways of playing (even though it's ultra easy to break the game), and that bubble wrap popping feeling missing from Holocure.

Fate Zero was created as a starting point to introduce anime onlies to the franchise. It has most of the major explanations on how the Holy Grail war and the Servant + Magic system works.

Only disadvantage is that if you aren't prone to forgetting minor details, it will spoil a lot of major plot twists and impactful revelations for the VN.
