I decided to test face tanking the end game horde to see if I could. Turned out you cant but I have it the old college try. Bread Doggos hit a loit harder than the Yatas of the old version

I tried stage two a couple of times with Mio and I was struggling, then I tried Okayu and she was untouchable not even halfway through. Then I beat stage 1 hard mode with Foobs. This highlights a couple of things, first that Mio feels like pre-buff Kiara. She's supposed to be tanky/risky but has no range or damage and has trouble staying alive, especially after healing was nerfed. Compare that to Okayu who always has food available yet uses it for damage, not even healing.
Second, it's a strange inverse with Vampire Survivors where the library was an easier level than the first, but here the office has more obstacles and is slower to give levels. They probably even overdid it, because when it's so cramped it doesn't feel as fun. If I'm going to be playing casually, it'll be in stage 1.

I'm still happy with the update so far, but Mio really needs a rework, she's terrible. I've yet to try the rest, I just hope I don't run into more obvious disparity.

Pretty sure the worst new character is Sora, though I haven't tried every one of them. I can't imagine the rest of gen 0 being worse. From the gamers Mio wasn't amazing, Korone does put out a lot of damage, Okayu has a neat gimmick (though I think even for Okayu uber sheep isn't really necessary), and Fubuki seems fun but I only used her first on stage 1 before unlocking stage 2 so it was a complete cake walk and I can't judge her strength, and other people seem to find her weak. At least FBK isn't nearly as impotent as Sora.
