Same with streamers. Many have always looked down on viewers because the profession/hobby attracts egomaniacs that obsess over celebrity. To them that is what determines everything of value in life. This also means they're going to be resentful towards anyone that they view as a fan that only exists to support them. When it comes to encouraging subs and donations you won't see much disdain from these types. It's the rest of the time that you can tell they're like this. Most common symptoms are complaining that people unfollow them or bringing up that some don't sub. Posting about unrelated problems and expecting support and encouragement as an entitlement is another sign.

I have seen several examples of this where they target viewers for fabricated reasons. Such a person eventually makes up fake reasons to ban viewers and then takes to twitter to absolve themselves and get support from slightly larger vtubers. It's a toxic circlejerk but they do everything to maintain the fantasy that they're big shots. The idea that someone they classified as a viewer can be like them threatens this fantasy.
