Yes, they get weapons scaling up with the tier. It goes like this:
>2^0: 1 person beats them, as they do not possess any significant strength, you or me could easily beat them up
>2^1: they can handle 1 person, but a second one would do them in as they are unable to calculate with two separate enemies
>2^2: imagine a yakuza hit squad, with some weapons and a handgun
>2^4: they could survive a fight in an elevator with ease, a mobile task force is needed to eliminate them. Flashbangs, smoke grenades, night vision googles and sniper support
>2^8: the task force is not enough, a squadron is necessary. Artillery, tanks, ground-to-ground missiles, drones
>2^16: a nation's strength is needed to eliminate them as they can at this point eradicate hundreds of people at once. Fighter jets, battleships, aircraft carriers
>2^32: international threats, the whole world needs to unite to have a chance. ICBMs and nuclear warheads are unlocked
>2^64: interplanetary threats, humanity is doomed if they turn rogue. They only lose to those above
>infinite: absolutely broken, unkillable beings that can only be thwarted by an equal for a set amount of time
>>32521615
Mumei is merely an avatar of our civilization and progress, a librarian for all of mankind, she by herself is not powerful at all. Similarly, Fauna also only controls life on this planet and she lacks the firepower to destrly other worlds like those above. Mori is up for interpretation, but she can reap anyone below her, either killing them or rendering them inavailable for a while.

Writing thread is about headcanons, fanon or pure speculation. Anything goes there because it's mainly a creative thread.

While in this thread, strictly speaking, posts should only consider canon things seen on streams (and other official media, but general consensus is that each media should be powerscaled separately >>32238575). Unfortunately a lot of people aren't that familiar with the streamers they are "powerscaling" (mostly due to them not watching enough, if any of their streams) so a lot of it looks like headcanon, especially when there's no sources listed.

By introducing new meaningful lore in their own streams, like what Fauna did when she introduced Nemu.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ylwahhz2a_U

2bh council really did kinda fuck themselves over because their debut lore is already too specific and intricate. The "I'm the personification of X concept of the universe" leaves them hardly any rooms for further expansion and any changes they might want to make in the future will be seen as contradicting/retconning their past lore (which is what Fauna did to some extent, depending on your interpretation), whereas on the opposite side of the spectrum, vtubers with basic-ass debut lore like Haato, Amelia, Risu and Moona can develop their lore however much they want as there's really not much that would pose a problem continuity-wise (and they did).

And frankly, all the most kino and actually memorable lore are all developed on-stream, together with the viewers.

As for the others, intergalactic threats still exists, if anything, they go in that category. Sana and Mori can kill all of them by spawning a black hole on top of their heads or reaping them and Kronii can freeze all of them in time, rendering them useless. Still, I'm not opposed to bringing them further up if there's evidence for them being able to tank all that humanity can throw at them.
>>32528558
See >>32529085 with the addition that together they're not that much stronger either. Vesper is a 2^8 because he's a vampire like Mel and I'm willing to give them that strength, Axel is a 2^4 because he can be shot down quite easily, Magni too, and Regis is probably a 2^8 but I know jackshit about how strong a hero is supposed to be in their setting, so probably limbo-tier until further information.

>should the tone always be kept light? how much serious / "dark" content is acceptable in a pretend anime character's lore?
>is there room to add depth such as through themes, morals, or deconstruction, or should it just focus on being funny / cool / generally entertaining?

If I were a chuuba who made the lore a core focus of my content, I'd have the fan develop it for me through organic interaction with my streams.

The lore can be funny, cool, dark, or chuuni. As long as it connects with my audience and they love it, i'll make the lore canon.

I'll use magni for example. He created his mascot in a drawing stream as a joke with his audience, calling it magmite. Then, he created a story line for his mascot, with the 'John the cucked commentator' skit.

His lore is evergrowing and connects with the audience well. I even see people on twitter making real squeaky plushie of a magmite. Big monetisation opportunity right there.

It doesn't have to be. But unless you are very dedicated to your rp your streams will most likely end up having a light tone anyway and I think that's fine.

>is there room to add depth such as through themes, morals, or deconstruction, or should it just focus on being funny / cool / generally entertaining?
Those are all great if done properly but I think most people would probably enjoy funny / comedic lore the most. There is a reason why one piece and one punch man became so big.
>should the story be structured ahead of time, and if so how far ahead? how much influence should stream moments / audience in-jokes have on the development?
You should build your lore with your streams. Think of it as a GM who has a basic plotline planned but will adapt it if need be.

>anything else you consider important
Creating fun or immersive moments with it on stream or in any other medium would be the ideal outcome imo.

Tone of most gaming livestreams will mostly be light because that's what people come for. That being said I like that Projekt Melody has an "evil" version of herself in Melware that she recently brought out to play Cult of the Lamb with. It was still lighthearted but she was leaning more into being evil while doing it which is a good compromise imo. The choice of game can dictate what you're doing if you're emphasizing lore.

Seems like a weird listing. Mouse is probably the strongest physically, but Melware is strong in a way that kinda defies conventional rating. She's basically SKYNET. Unless there's a massive planetwide EMP that shorts all storage devices on the entire planet out at the same time then there's no real way to defeat her. She lacks a physical form herself but can essentially control anything mechanical, and has presumably taken over manufacturing plants to make more things that she can slip herself into considering the entire planet is populated by androids in the future. And yeah there's also the little thing of having effectively genocided the entire human race in the future.

Anyway aside from that Nazuna, Silver, and Froot are pretty unknown. Nazuna's certainly important and could be that high, but the extent is unknown and with amnesia she's probably mostly helpless at the moment anyway. Froot's probably not too misplaced given what we do know, but the range for a lich to be dangerous could certainly extend further past a town. Silver's current lore is pretty well fleshed out but considering what she's been up to on the sides in the new stuff I wouldn't really be sure where to put her. I'd probably also move Hime up a tier since she's supposed to be able to conquer plants plural with her army.

VTubestudio also makes it easy to do without having to invest in extra models and the like. It can be a palette swap. Melware's a full redone different outfit but simply changing hair color or eyes or something like that could effectively accomplish the same thing without any monetary investment. >should the story be structured ahead of time, and if so how far ahead? how much influence should stream
This is an interesting question. A lot of the best "loretubers" run into the problem of running out of story to tell at once they finished with their own arc. Basically their past and background are now known, they went through what is supposed to be their character growth and there's no mystery anymore.

This why I think the best way to do it is appropriately Ina's way. Some people might not even consider her like a loretuber but she's actually very good at lore integration.

She has a premise "I'm not a tako, I'm a human". Which plays on her character design and everyone can see that the statement is false. BUT we don't know the why and how of her situation.
Then how she integrates her lore is made to work on the long run. She hints at her past and put out lore heavy content only drop by drop. A few hints in her MV or during her outfit reveal, a special lore stream for april fools, etc. We don't have the full story but Ina is definitely still telling it.

So I think if you really want to be lore heavy and in the long run. You should plan the lore to last from your debut to your graduation and spinkle it in between your regular activities.

Alternatively you have another way that's way more ressource heavy. Ironmouse was initially telling her lore mainly through her outfits.
