Re-runs of figures do happen but they're rare and usually reserved for things that sell out quickly or are unusually popular. For example, the Pyra/Mythra figures got re-runs a few months after they released since they sold out almost instantly and hit 200% retail price in the aftermarket. Saber's figma also got a 2.0 release a few years after the original, as Fate was still very popular.

Hololive stuff is similarly popular and IIRC they added some stock for some nendos that sold out quickly, but when it comes to buyfaggotry you really can't afford to think twice. It sucks but if you're on the fence about buying something you really have to make a decision sooner rather than later. Take it from a guy with over 40 figures.

after the Kickstarter game was funded, the money was mismanaged/plausibly partially stolen by the studio they worked with. this and some other mishaps lead to a huge delay on the game's projected release.

towards the end, the comic progressively sprawled out and became a parody of its fans and author (although I would say this led to some of the best parts of it, in Act 6). the ending left many people unsatisfied, and was mostly animated by other people. Hussie increasingly relied on other people to work on Homestuck-related media, becoming more of a producer -- there was an epilogue in the style of an AO3 post released that was mostly written by other people. (one of whom was a big-name fan.)

Hussie has since finally started a new, non-Homestuck-related webcomic.
