I actually think I finally figured out: Hololive works because men and women work together.
Men tell women what men like, and they force them to make a product they like. Left to their own devices the end result would had been the present indie scene: Holos openly talking about politics or their boyfriends, etc. Management stops them from making suboptimal content and focuses straight on making them perfect machines for bleeding gachis dry.
Of course the Holos hate it, they want to do things their own way and talk about things they want to talk, but they got to grit their teeth and do it because it is in their contract, and thus, the miracles begin to happen.
Men however do not know what women want, hence men telling men what to do is destined to fail. This is why Holostars never quite took off, and why the male nijis with their company approach of "hand off to the point of being basically a black company" did better.

But to truly make male vtubing work, we need to fully reverse image the Holo method: WOMEN telling MEN what WOMEN want, and forcing them to make the content WOMEN want to see.
Of course the male chuubas will hate it as much as the holo women do. They wont be able to talk about the things they want or play the games they like, but if they pull it off they will finally be able to capture the elusive female market.

So basically what I am saying is that Slugma and her protegee might be the force that changes the game forever, as long as he obeys him completely.
