The vtuber's perspective is naturally limited unless they actively imagine themselves as a simp and look at their actions from that angle.

This natural lack of empathy for text on a screen (as well as the difference in lived experiences between genders) is ultimately where a lot of the disconnect comes from. In order to understand the audience, you need to become a newtype, be able to sometimes glean personal characteristics from a person's word choice, linguistic style, and perspectives, and also self insert as a simp of the opposite gender in order to see yourself from the eyes of a self interested listener.
