Exactly. Can't trust the jannies to do their due diligence, and it just paints bigger targets on anons for mass reporting. That means more work for jannies since invaders would be emboldened to single out IDs and mass report all their posts in a thread in order to artificially control discussions. That's why I've always championed a general board for both /mlp/ and /vt/. When you have cults and colonies popping up and thread turnover is an hour or two at slowest, you need a containment board because those countless generals are a tumor which make it impossible to have discussions outside of them. Threads often get bumped off too quick because the generals are a malignant, perpetually bumped cancer that never disappear even when that chuba isn't streaming.

This was literally the point of EVERY /v/ spinoff, because otherwise /v/ would be filled with a sea of competing generals while real threads get choked out, but apparently only /v/ gets to rid itself of cancer while the /jp/ split still didn't help /jp/ because the problem on /jp/ was ALWAYS the lack of a vtuber general board. It's not rocket science. If vtuber generals existing on a board are an issue, shove them into a containment board as per standard procedure. There are protocols for this that need only be followed, but mods are too busy having discord sex to get 'er done.
