Unironically though, I'm not saying it's sure to happen but if there's ever another VTuber boom it's going to come from these guys or people like them. NijiEN and the Holo girls aren't shaking up their formulas, each gen/wave is targeting the same audience as the last one and while there's certainly room to grow they're not going do repeat Myth or Luxiem's explosions like that.
Tempus on the other hand have the potential to pull normies into VTuber audiences. You can love it or hate it, but they're inspired by streamers like Northernlion and Dr. Disrespect and that's an audience that hasn't been tapped by this industry.

2019 Mito made vtubing as we know it with the less expensive Live2D instead of 3D
2020 Coco was the bridge that made vtubing popular overseas
2021 was when Gura blew up to space
2022 had Vox making male vtubers popular, Salome hitting outrageous popularity, Vshojo setting high standards for vtuber avatars, Kobo opening SEA markets, but all of these were short lived meh's.
