Well, we claimed our spot back when that was the holocontinent (pre-zoning era), but then the continents got flipped and we are now stuck there. Nasfaqg is a hololive (and holomama) focused thread although some of us do watch the nijjis and independents, and we have had a pomuposter in the past, but we are geographically undeniably in the neutralniji continent.
Geographically neutralniji, culturally Holocontinent, we are basically a holocolony on a different continent.

As far as I'm concerned, we shouldnt have an in-universe consensus on what belongs to which continent, every nation and cultural bloc probably has their own idea on this. In-universe the Serene Republic thinks of itself as being a descendant of the holoempire, but due to long history with the neutral and niji continents we are probably much MUCH more cordial toward both than your average holonation would.

How? As I said I consider it a problem of communication and categorisation. People in Panama don't just say they are the dividing point of the N and S Americas. The divide is based on geography. There are two dimension to this. The Thread lv and In-universe lv. For thread it's better to have a clear consensus on how continents are divided and categorized to aid communication and prevent misunderstandings. Having multiple interpretations gets in the way of that. Yes Australia itself can be considered an Continent unto itself but since there's a very clear separation between it and other landmasses nearby it won't create much confusion. But for say the Iberian Peninsula, that's connected to the European mainland there's a clear separation. Same as Europe and Asia. I've said it but although I'm not sure since when the Urals was considered to be a dividing line between Eu and As, there is a defining line there to separate things. Then there's the in universe level. Names for things would likely be relatively standardized due to trade and religion. A prevailing definition would likely emerge in the world. The issue of separation is also a matter of identity. Say the writers in /hlgg/, who still hold significant cultural capital popularly define the Holocontinent as everything that is surrounded by the seas that separate it and the Niji(and also other) Barbarians, idea like that can spread over time and create a defining line between the two landmass. And for scholars there would also likely be a debate on how to categorize landmasses of the world. Especially for this point do you really think none of them would use the large bodies of water that cut through the two landmasses?

Transcontinental countries exist. The argument here is not necessarily about the exceptions like /nasfaqq/ or perhaps some later threads but the general trend of the lands on Vitubia. The naming of continents in the universe can be influenced by both soft, cultural factors and hard, geographical factors. Separating the Holo/niji part of the world is not for pigeonholing every later holo-related thread onto that area but for separating and categorizing the continents of the world. Unlike Earth most of the landmass on Vitubia is divided by bodies of water. That, I think should serve as a basis of categorizing large landmass into continents in this world.

Instead of making the zoning PVRE tribalist, make it primarily leaning. Mixing heritages is allowed with lore and thread history.
Example 1: while /rumina/ and /総長 + 会長/ are now western corpo aligned, their history as Holos mean that they can be on the Holo continent.

Example 2: If a small corpo/indie wants to place their nation next to Nijis or Holo, they can provide it with enough lore as to why? For example, /meat/ has been around since /jp/ terrorizing /hlgg/ under the /sbg/ moniker so they can stay near the holos. And modern /meat/ is a unification of /sbg/ and /hololive meat general/.

Ill be honest, I dont like the precedent of just changing the climate for every nation to suit their needs. Small areas like /mans/ cold hole or Moriji mountain are fine, but I dont think entire nations should have completely new climates just because.

Defeats the entire purpose of having climates to begin with, if everyone's just going to come up with their own anyways. Makes the world a lot less enjoyable for me personally, as I think this takes a lot of the soul away.

If pentomo wants to be arctic, I think they should move rather than change the climate. My recommendation is to have tropical penguins, as those do already exist in our world, you can have them here too.

But you know, thats just me and my drunken opinions, I spent a lot of time working on the OG climates which, to be fair, were horrible compared to what we have now, so I'm very biased on this issue.

You'll probably need at least 2km of height to put a tropical savannah climate into somewhere that has a subzero monthly average temperature, and I think Bhutan doesn't experience continental climate until ~3km. In practice, your change will lead to more subtropical highland in nijimale, which is more like an eternal spring since they don't experience much seasonal temperature change.
From what we can tell so far, nijimale would have to have a supernatural source of coldness to achieve that, which would lead to other implications that also affect the weather and climate of nearby places (for one, we can probably assume there will be a constant high pressure zone in inland nijimale, which will result in a constant wind blowing towards the coast and lead to less rainfall across the board). Then again, it's magic, so it can basically do anything people want it to, so the other implications can always be magic'd away.

the navy is VERY important for us, trade is our lfieblood and what enables us to make profit as well as to get access to old stuff from other nations like their technologies, artifacts ect. since our workshops at home are not profit focused at all and can make very little profit, the merchants basicly have to work double to bring in money and to amke sure that soem of the stuff produced in the workshops get sold with a profit overseas. for that purpose we need a navy that can protect these ships at all costs. Also since our landforces are weaker and only for defending the homeland we need a stronger Navy to safeguard ourselves and make sure that jsut because we are a peaceful nation does not mean we get perceived as weak and nations trying to attack us for that reason so we rather spend some extra on navy even if it means having more ships than necessary, that is also why i went with indiamen for the basis of our merchant ships for what you said so in a war we can have them join in on the defense and make sure even if the escort is lighter that they can adapt by having appropiate defense for themselves by carrying more cannons ect at a loss of some cargospace for trading.

So let me outline your options for this. Indiamen can defend themselves for most purposes but Frigates can do the job on crucial routes. You will have a navy largely based around escort forces, thus you will have many Frigates and smaller ships. To give you a rough number, 30 to 40 frigates and 40 to 60 Sloops and Brigs.

For your big ships, all you will need is around 16 for your purposes because you can convert many of your Indiamen into 4th Rate Ships of the Line (Around 54 guns)

This could seem small, and you can decide if you want more or less. Ships of the line should remain around there or fewer. They are expensive for your purposes. The Sloops and Brigs are life savers, and will accomplish far more than you might expect.

Of all sizes? Depends how rich your trade really is. 120 is my first guess. If there is that many, I personally recommend my 20 frigates, 40 light ships. Basically 6 Indiamen for one Frigate and 3 Indiamen for lighter ships is the ratio here. Ships of the Line don't matter in this equation.
