It's not that I didn't want to continue, it's just that both the author and myself felt it was complete.

Also, the original draft for chapter 2 was like barely half the length of what it is now. I pushed him hard to create what is now chapter 2, and if I pushed any harder, he may have burnt out. It just wasn't an option.
If MWanon does ever express interest in continuing it though I'd be happy to brainstorm.

Cuts to mere days later as you have been reduced to a childlike intellect, fully adoring your mother and casually throwing away an old memento of your life as a human at the behest of your new Mama.

My grandparents from the Japanese side live in rural Hokkaido (and I mean fucking RURAL, they own a dairy farm out in the sticks) and I wouldn't say it's bad. Obviously there's less facilities and shops, and a longer drive to reach said places, but I'm sure that's countryside life anywhere else in the world. The inns and restaurants are also still a little more traditional Japanese compared to big cities where everything's been westernised. I would dig up some old photos but I can't be fucked right now.
