Right now, her body is being pumped full of hormones that are making her extra giddy and more accepting of her boyfriend. This is due to her biological need to reproduce and have offspring. They allow her to tolerate the man long enough for him to be around and help raise the children until they are old enough to be a little more self-sufficient and dont need constant supervision.

These first 2 years are the easiest (as a guy) because you can do bare minimum dates, gifts and flirting and the girl will be blinded by love. After those 2 years is where it gets harder, you get more shit-tests and you have to decide whether the girl is hot enough to put up with.

LTRs are hard and require a lot of work to succeed. You also have to be on top of your game (money, fitness, social standing) otherwise you will get tested more often and you will have a hard time passing them if you cant meet her standards anymore.

(this is assuming the girl/boy power dynamic is more or less equal. If one gender has more power in the relationship, then things will be harder for the opposite gender in regard to maintaining the relationship)
