Sephira was actually a mascot vtuber for a fortune-telling website but said website was quietly shut down by the owners in the middle of 2020. Her retirement was inevitable though no one knows the actual reason, it could be her contract term ending, her company making a decision or maybe her quitting for another job like what you said. There isn't much drama to it.
