Hello /nasfaqg/, we’ve prepared a financial report for you, the Returns Report. Seeing how leaderboard place might not entirely reflect how well or how poorly you are doing anymore and the benchmark page is vulnerable to daily market fluctuations, we’ve collected data from all active players with open wallets. It was then processed and separated into four categories: Trading, Investing, Dividends, and Wallet Appreciation to gain more insight into your performance during the past week. Mutual Funds are treated similarly. The tables will use colors to denote possible membership of a corporation/group after they form.

• Reminder: you can request individual user ledgers, either as images or .csv files! Just message Triangle or Clocks.
• The Report’s data collection doesn’t include changes made to the funds yet. This means that all trades are treated as if they were made with 10% flat tax, and as if they were still on 1.5% Fee/100% Shareholder Divs.

• There have been 195 players who made at least a single transaction in the past week, which one less player than last week.

>Income Overview
The data was collected during the 20:00 GMT+0 14.08.2022 to 20:00 GMT+0 21.08.2022 period. Data is sorted from largest to smallest total income during the data collecting period.
To define the sources of income:
- ‘Trading Profit’ stems from selling coins within the last week. Once a coin is sold, an associated ‘buy’ transaction is matched. The difference between buy price and sell price, deducted by buying/selling taxes, constitutes the trading profit column. Zeros in this column indicate a lack of sells, while negative values indicate inefficient trading. 14- or 21-dat average price of a coin from last week is used for coins that were bought more than a week ago, since the profits from the coin gaining price have already been counted as Investments or Appreciation.
- ‘Investments Profit’ stems from coins bought but not sold within the last week. In this case, the ‘profit’ is measured by taking the buy price and subtracting it from the 14-day average price of the coin. Negative values here indicate buying coins above their base price and holding them – large negative values are often the signs of heavy oshicoining or spending large amounts of money at once.
- ‘Last Dividends’ is simple enough. It’s the dividend payout from 20.08.2022 dividends.
- ‘Wallet Appreciation’ is the increase in net worth caused by market inflation. Bigger wallets have coins that remained ‘passive’ throughout the entire week are neither bought nor sold; however, the market is trending upwards, and thus they increase in value over time slightly. It’s calculated by taking the 21-day average price of a coin one week ago and now, subtracting them, and then multiplying by the amount of ‘passive’ coins in the wallet for every coin. Naturally, if the market were trending downwards, we’d observe a wallet depreciation, loss in value.
- ‘Auctions’ is the net balance of all auctions that finished within the data collection period. This factors in taxes on the side of the buyer, since the seller of the item only receives 95% of the bid.
- ‘Fund Profit’ are combined sources of revenue from funds: Investment, Trading, Inflation, and CEO/Board Commissions.
- ‘Share Payout’ is the dividends paid out to shareholders by mutual funds.
Additionally, ‘±’ and ‘Diff’ columns are added next to ‘Rank’ in the report. ± outlines the change in position from the last week’s report, with N/A meaning that said user did not figure in last week’s report for some reason. Diff is the difference in placing between the income/trading overview rank and real leaderboard rank. The more positive those numbers are, the better, since in ‘±’ case it means improvement from the last week, and in ‘Diff’ case that means that in terms of either overall or trading income you are ‘punching above your weight class’.

Using the same data, this breaks down all ‘active’ trading profits into categories and sorts players by total trading profits from last week.
‘Trading Income’ is the basic difference between the buy and sell price of coins, ‘Trading Taxes’ are losses from buy/sell taxes in the two matching transactions. Taxes differ based on multicoin count. ‘Trading Profits’ is simply income minus taxes.
‘Invested Amount’ is the amount of money converted into coins by unmatched buys. ‘Investment Income’ composes of ‘Invested Profit’ plus ‘Investment Taxes’, it’s highlighted for consistency. ‘Investment Taxes’ are losses due to taxes associated with those transactions. In theory, 4.5% is the minimal investment taxes/invested amount ratio, while 45% is the maximal ratio, representing only 1x buys or only 10x buys. ‘Invested Profit’ is the difference between the price the coin was purchased at and its average price, minus taxes; you can consider it a forced sell of every coin bought during the week at the average price.
‘±’ and ‘Diff’ columns function identically to the ones in Income Overview.
As you can see, trading differentiates the players a lot. While total income was correlated mainly with rank, especially high on the leaderboard, trading easily differentiates between players who are close to one another.

>Shares Overview
This section of the Returns Report focuses on profits given by Mutual Funds that excludes the weekly dividend payout, which is incorporated into the Dividends Overview instead. Shares Overview is sorted by ‘Total Shares Profit’.
‘Invested Amount’ is the amount of money converted throughout the week into Mutual Fund shares, ‘Investment Profit’ is the difference between the buying price of a fund (if the share was bought throughout the week) and its 3-day average at the time of the Report, ‘Trade Profit’ are gains from selling fund shares. ‘Share Inflation’ is the rise in price of shares bought prior to the data collection period, and is the difference between the 3-day average at the start of the data collection period and 3-day average at the end of the data collection period. ‘Fund Commissions’ is the 1.5% commission for the Board and the CEO after a share is bought.

This section is meant to represent the long-term investment quality, represented by wallet composition. ‘Last Dividends’ displays the last dividends payout, ‘Average Net Worth’ is the average of daily net worth measured at 20:00 GMT+0 on every day pre-dividends, and ‘Approximate ROI %’ is ‘Last Dividends’ plus ‘Share Payout’ divided by ‘Average Net Worth’. The data is sorted from highest ‘Approximate ROI %’ to lowest. Since it is just an approximation and concerns a single payout, you should aim for being consistently high rather than always being on the top.
The ‘Dividends’ section of the Report has some limitations: it is susceptible to price fluctuations and since it only takes into account the last dividends, it will favor newer players and oshicoiners of the top coin(s) over people with wallets that are better diversified for week-by-week stable dividend income.

In this table, the total income of the past week was split into its core components, indicating how much every element contributed to the weekly profits. When a component brought losses, it was skipped so all components would sum up to 100%. This table is sorted by rank.
Higher-ranked players rely almost exclusively on dividends and wallet appreciation for profit. Trading has a maximum profitability cap associated with it since the number of trades you can make in a single cycle is limited.
On the other hand, trading can make up the bulk of income for the newer players It remains the primary method of climbing since it heavily differentiates between players, while dividends are more or less the same percentage-wise.
Auctions are a niche source of income most of the time, but can explain much of the rapid movement at later pages of the leaderboard.
Wallet appreciation can be a major source of profit or losses, depending on the direction of the market.
Shares Payout is, in essence, similar to dividends, except that it is projected to increase over time due to the growth of funds.

Please note that this is only an estimate due to the inclusion of ‘Investment Profit’ column, and that the data for fast-growing funds might be slightly inaccurate in terms of their real returns.

This section functions identically to Trading Overview of individual accounts, except that it looks at the trades of mutual funds. It is sorted by total trading income.

>Disclaimer & Limitations
The data collection has several limitations:
• It does not include data from closed wallets.
• Inactivity is denoted solely by the lack of trades in the past week.
• If someone were to open and close their wallets over the week, it’d only count the open-wallet period.
• User had to exist at the moment the beginning of the week, when data collection started.
So, if you are active and want to see your performance in those reports, set your wallet to public!

Due to peculiarities of the data collection, there is a single case in which an active account would not be featured in the Returns Report, even with an open wallet. All three conditions have to be fulfilled:
• Account was created last year.
• Account’s wallet is open.
• Account never bought a coin.
In this single case, that account would need to be manually added. No active accounts fulfill those conditions right now. Nevertheless, if you do not appear in the Returns Report and would 1) want to 2) fulfill three criteria above, please send a direct message to Triangle Consulting.

Hi all, trial dev here with some good news.
This morning me and honk were investigating the adjusts live to see what was going on. Turns out there was some delays to how the data was being captured from youtube. Honk is going to change some things to make sure it will be on time for the normal adjustments from now on.
Basically what happened is the data was missing and when it went to check if it should adjust, it saw the data wasn't there yet, so didn't adjust. Somedays it worked cause the data was there in time?
Hopefully this should be properly the last time that it breaks in this way. Now just 30 other bugs to fix that have cropped up...

The only numbers that matter to me in relation to funds for the RR are shares overview and Avg. Returns. A funds position in terms of traditional trading for those reports are almost directly correlated to the funds networth, they have very little to do with how good of an investment the fund actually is.

This came out longer than I initially imagined and English isn't my main language so please bear with me.

Hmm. If it's adjustment, I'm thinking of changing how it or the formula work. Maybe make the adjustment reflect more of how much effort the holo is putting in at streaming rather than based on how their last stream did while also punishing holos that doesn't put effort on streaming. Ayame or Aqua for example. That way we might see more movements on adjustment while rewarding holos that are streaming almost every day. I think the main problem about why the current adjustment isn't fun and no risk is because of how stable it is right now.
If this idea sounded bad for adjustment then maybe at the least consider putting this into dividend's formula.
Aside from the gameplay. Another idea that I think would be fun is events. Be it weekly, special holidays or just random ones. Like for example, a limited event with a completely separated leaderboard, market and currency for a separated or new coins only available in that limited market, or that was what on my mind but after thinking of what the gameplay of those new coins or where the adjustments will be based off from, I can't think of one.
So, why not instead of new coins. A limited event market that consists of a different wallet, leaderboard, currency, everyone starts with the same money of course, and coins.
Everyday the game or honk, whichever will pick a limited number, let's say 6 holo coins that you could play with for that day, only buying is available till they adjust and only to adjust once and only once. The game will restrict the players into selling these coins until they adjust and restrict buying more of these coins once they adjust but instead a new set of 6 holos would appear and available for buying till adjust and selling once they adjust the next day and the same loop will happen till the event ends. Of course, these coins will have a set price for everyone to be able to buy with limited starting currency. I'm thinking the coins shouldn't go up from buys or go up but very slowly affected by player buys but will go down on normal rate. Basically no selling before adjustment happening. You need to trust or to know which holos you will invest into to make more money the next day. An event where you will feel like a new player once again and need to research the available holos for that day. Of course, there should be rewards for the players that did well for this event, that's why needing a separate leaderboard. What the rewards are could be discussed later or let the devs decide.
Since the game revolves around money. I think we could put a lot more features than we could imagine.

I forgot to add that if the idea I had would allow multi buy or sell. It should only be allowed up to 3x or 5x. No or small tax rate when buying but the rate with selling should be our old multi tax rate. Since this idea I had wasn't meant to be collecting coins but more of emptying those coins. Should you miss their adjustment the next day, your stash of those coins should go to the void or refunded but only half of their total worth to avoid players being locked out from that limited market if they missed the adjustment because of personal reasons or reasons they couldn't avoid.

This idea is still using the current market and everything our current game already has to keep it seem realistic or still doable.

If your going to announce that you will cheat there is nothing I can do really. I see no issue with playing the game how I have, everytime someone purchases a share of your fund they are attacking and damaging you, so it is best to try to stop that from happening no matter what.
The way this game works the more people that purchase your fund the more you are punished. I strongly urge all players who do not own one to make one now with 100k shares, go public, immediately start dissolving and use https://holo.poi.cat/youtube-channel to check for any big streams and just look for 2 or 3 really good coins at first to trade and focus on making as much money as possible. Miko and Subaru are reallllly easy coins to make money from, buying either of them under 20k is basically guaranteed profit. You will make far more money than before, and the trading itself doesn't feel like utter shit in the same way that normal trading does. Never trade more than 50 coins because your literally just deleting coins at 51 or higher with how the taxes work.

Hola, Rival, while I would've agreed with this assessment with the initial conception of how funds worked, but after the first major fund changes I've come to the conclusion that with the addition of the 20% fee and the 5-10% total CEO div% mechanic, even having a fund where others are investing into you can be just as, if not more profitable than a purely solo fund, I'm not entirely sure which strategy will be more profitable between the two of us in the long term.
Also I completely agree with you on the fun funds offer, they make reps actually matter so much, which makes me sad to see all the meme funds that do nothing and don't take advantage of anything that funds are actually good for. I definitely feel a lot are missing out by not properly taking advantage of them, but ultimately how one plays the game is ones own prerogative.

They are, but the chief concern right now seems to be the lack of coding. It feels like honk and the devchamas have been playing catch-up since mutual funds released, especially with all of these weird adjustment bugs and implementation issues with m*les. Based on comments from honk and trialdev, it would seem that the bulk of these issues have always been there, but have only become visible with recent changes.
There's no point in having a proper designer around while there's no room for new updates. I would be knocking on honk's door if there were room.

It's only reasonable at forcing people to be there at adjustments because it's well, limited and an event. Also that this limited market wont have dividends on them. It will force you to make money solely by trading, adjustments and needing to have no leftover coins on your wallet. This is what at most I can think of for everyone to have fun while we find no fix for the main gameplay. A substitute while we have no fix yet if you will. Something to keep us occupied since it should feel like a nostalgic but fresh concept.

Unfortunately there have been lots of not easy to find bugs these past few weeks that take priority over new content. Things could be looking up for the dev team in the near-ish future as some are going to be slightly less busy amongst other things, discussions will probably be had on this (no promises).
As the above said, we do it for free so main jobs/life is the priority.
For a lot of the tweaks/fixes it can be difficult to find and implement sometimes. Things like some of the volatility isn't so difficult to sort however I will give you that. I like to think of bug finding/fixing as very difficult puzzles, you can spend hours on it and find nothing, however sometimes it only takes 5 minutes. The easier the fix may seem, the harder it can sometimes be unfortunately.

In general there are a lot of great ideas that I like, but finding a way to balance them is very difficult without massively increasing inflation, balancing, or just making the top players even further to reach for a normal player. There were some good ideas the other day about helping balance this though. Polls are also a good way to judge how people really want things to go forward.

While part of this is true, I think a problem with adjustments right now are daily and weekly subscribers ticks disappearing at the same time as huge increases in views from huge events coming in. Doing reps and buying holos in preparation of anniversaries/birthdays or similar big events hosted on their channels is punished by game mechanics more often than not recently
I've been making my own fun with the game by setting personal objectives which aren't just buying X amount of oshi, but trying to make profit by trading is often frustrating unless you check up poi for daily subscribers ticks, in which case making any profit as a player will always be less profitable than doing it as a fund
