Looks like it finally has independent aiming/twinstick controls for the weapons, instead of the lock and strafe aiming in the current version.

The aiming arrow isnt locked to 8 directions so expect proper controller and KB+M controls

I spotted an Investigator at one point.
Interestingly, Botan’s mascot appeared too so it might not just be limited to gens present in the game.

Sora’s attack looks pretty good and don’t think there’s someone with that attack pattern.
Fubuki’s looks strong.
Miko looks like a wider ranged Mori, so I wonder if that dead zone gimmick is coming back with her.
AZKI’s doesn’t look great, basically the least used of the weapons made into her kit. An Ame with bigger projectiles at the cost of them being on a wave making them harder to aim.
Okayu’s does not look great. Short ranged and seems like she can only attack enemies from below from the brief glimpse of her.

Gen 1 - they already have FBK in now so may as well complete them. Haachama will probably be the end boss for Level 3 anyway.
Gen 5 - Nene will be at 1M by then, making them the third gen to get all active members past that threshold. More importantly, they all have notable mascots to use.

JP2 and HoloX will be in the update after.

ID update will follow adding all the gens, though they have the issue that Risu, Ollie and Zeta are really the only ones with mascots, and even then Ollie’s is the most prominent.

Then after adding EN3 and JP7, he has to stop running and either has to add the Holostars or he has to finally make a decision on Rushia and Coco.

There's a chance that she gets left out by the devs simply because there's only a small bit of official lore to work with for weapons / skills since she only had one stream.

I found the gameplay itself enjoyable enough that I kept on setting personal challenges to justify more runs. Ended up with everyone at Rank 20.
Got as far as trying to make a fool proof coin-farm build that could survive the Yagoo swarm indefinitely yet still self-detonate whenever I wanted. Got too monotonous eventually. The deaths seemed to come randomly regardless of how much HP I'd stacked.

IMO you may be overthinking it a little. VS had its period of limelight. It ended. Simple as. Same went for Holocure once everyone'd streamed all the content. Now there's new content on the way.
