Saying the company has its roots in idol culture is just wrong though. Nobody made it thinking "we could do idols with this" or saw idols and was inspired to make it. It's literally just some entrepreneur who saw a fad getting popular and a technology that could capitalize on it and bring it to a mass market then put them both together.
