They had been winning for a while, but acquiring Lumi and Yuri was them really sealing the deal in my opinion. Even if you don't like them for whatever reason, they were undoubtedly a shot in the arm for Phase's already growing brand power. Invaders made Phase aspirational and a destination. Lumi and Yuri could have stayed indie and probably done fine for themselves, but they wanted to be part of Phase instead. That's the kind of thing that indies looking to go corporate and big corpo rejects will think about when considering their future. No departures also speaks well to their corporate culture.
