When I see someone acting superficially using something, I care about a hundredth as much as if they were serious.
People do this for stuff they agree with all the time, (it's seen as disingenuous by others, although sometimes accepted because it's personally affirming).
The only reason we don't do it for the stuff we disagree with is that we all enjoy a little brow beating and straw-manning things we don't like, even if that means throwing some patsy to the wolves.

It's also sad because people here obviously just have some weird hate boner for Visage more than any hate for any one other thing he might've not even actually said in the past.
