I could be critical of the primer sure but I think overall its a helpful thing.
The first section of the primer is the best section, because it actually tries to give you a one or two sentence post on why you should watch the chuuba. There are ~65 chuubas on the primer list but only 9 get the proper introduction treatment. I'm sure eyes could glaze over the other 55. For example I don't think I ever watched Mirea Sheltzs. Some people get posted here every day and still not on the primer.
I want to know why I should watch someone, what they excel at, what their song choices usually look like, what their content looks like, if they stream, and how often that streaming content is utawaku. But at the end of the day a lot of the joy is discovering for yourself and I don't even know how much new people would appreciate an even more bloated document.
The other option is just putting 10 vsingers in the primer and rotating them. but that's also kinda shit option. At the same time, people like Isekaijoucho just sitting in the top spot when you can only hear her live a half dozen times per year is rough.

I challenged myself to do a 10 VSinger primer just now. Of course the list is subjective, and we discuss more than ten people. I tried to keep it varied for type of content/type of voice. I only included Jps, and I excluded any Holo. Really the list should rotate if it was a ten chuubas for newbies list anyway. Here's my list that absolutely nobody asked for.

HACHI - Start here, Hachi has a smooth voice, excellent vocal control, and a wide appeal
Isekaijoucho - Ethereal, Best known for her original music and live performances. She is one of the five members of V.W.P (Virtual Witch Phenomenon) and it's worth checking out their other members as well. All of V.W.P is under Kamitsubaki Studio, who have some of the highest quality live performances in the industry.
Yuka Nagase - Hypnotic, Best known for her original music and acoustic guitar streams. Sometimes runs a 24/7 work/study/chill stream. Almost never uses her model. She is on a separate sub-label from her Riot Music coworkers, who are either under Blitz Wing or Meteopolis.
Machita Chima - Operatic singer from Nijisanji with a cheerful JK persona and a love of shitposting. She is the girl who is known for singing Freesia 100 times on stream.
HaNaTan - Extremely powerful and resonating voice and gained notoriety through her covers.
KMNZ - Hip hop duo consisting of LIZ and LITA with a lot of catchy original music. Liz has a cute persona while LITA is the cool one. They have separate YouTube channels.
nayuta - Veteran Utaite turned VSinger with a sweet sisterly voice. Going on her 15th year.

I wrote the primer.

What made me change the description of Hachi isn't shitposting but the introduction of Noa Polaris, Hanatan, and Kimaseri. None of them replace another, and the best singer for each song is different. Eien no Akuru Hi -> Noa, Kawa no nagare no you ni -> Kimaseri, etc.

But a more ambitious goal is to make people listen more critically and recognize differences in singing techniques, past one's own infatuation with a vtuber. You listen to a better vsinger; you pick up on terms people use to describe that singer; eventually you have more discernment. For instance, when a new male vtuber recently debuted and the thread was able to tell the guy could not belt properly, that's a good sign.

Singing regularly is always a plus. But when someone is bad, it really doesn't matter how many times they sing (we stopped following). The list already has a healthy ratio of active singers so we can include the more bouquet singers for appreciation of what is possible.
