If I didn't know these threads were made by and for shitposters I would genuinely worry at the sensitivity of the people who make them. This is the kind of shit that disqualifies a person from being part of society by virtue of how annoying they are

"Improve yourself" is directionally correct advice. If you're not improving, you're either stagnating or degenerating. You should always be striving to better yourself.

I'm not a mind reader. But there are two problems here.

First of all, it's not specific enough. Improve what? Myself? What exactly should I improve about myself? Where should I start? Should I start big or small? If big, how big? If small, how small? What specifically should I improve? "Improve yourself" - it's probably the first time any of her fans have been told to do such a thing. It's too vague of a statement, to the point of laziness. The implication is that she doesn't particularly care. "Can you guys just like... not be so pathetic?" I mean, she's not wrong. Actually, it's pretty based to call out her fucking loser fans - trim the fat, purge the scum. But it doesn't seem like it's coming from a place of love.

Secondly, who is Ame to tell anybody to improve themselves? She's not exactly a beacon of self-improvement. If you hired a personal trainer, would you pick a fatty or someone who's jacked, tanned and juicy as fuck? Obviously the latter. There are occasions where the former would be the better choice - some of the best coaches in the world are people who never made it themselves in a particular sport or bodybuilding. But you don't get the impression that Ame is the exception. She's a Vtuber, a regular girl with a bit more creativity and drive than the average person. She doesn't strike you as a person who's actively and consciously looking to improve themselves every day. Her telling anyone else to improve comes across as hypocritical and shallow. Surely she should be leading by example, being the change she wants to see?
