Part 1.
It was the evening before the Risuners were to depart and return to their homeland, and Ardy contemplated the last few days. He enjoyed his time with Neriah immensely, but his behavior has made him worry, and the stinging pain he felt now that she was about to leave only made it worse. He feared maybe something was wrong with programming, but diagnosis always came back negative and found no issue. Other Onobots he talked to also could not think about what the problem was, and so his concerns grew ever bigger. Unable to bear with it any longer, he sought out the only person he could think of that might be able to help him understand, and so late at night he found himself before a door guarded by two Onobots. As he approached the door, a robotic voice beckoned him to come inside and close the door behind him. Before him sat an Onobot at a desk, many signs of wear, like scratches upon his body, were proof of his Age even among Onobots.

„Greetings child, please have a seat and expand upon why you wanted to see me on such short notice.“
„Most honorable R-5, I do not understand my feelings, do you perhaps know what is wrong with me? I feel as if I am defect.“
„I have received reports of this, it seems you even refuse to share files regarding this matter?“
„I do not understand why, but when I imagine myself sharing these files with others, it is as if a part of me would lose something important by not having it to myself.“
„Hoho, this is most interesting. But do not worry, this is not necessary a bad thing. Before we get to that, however, why won't you tell me in your own words all about it?“

And so Ardy began his tale, telling about the arrival of the Risuners, the time he spent with Neriah and the feelings he fails to understand the meaning behind. As their conversation went on, night turned to day, and the time for the Risuners to leave grew ever closer. Understanding what was going on, as well as securing an Item once he did, however, was of the most importance for Ardy, and so they continued.

At the Harbor, the Risuners prepared their ships for sailing and loaded the goods they purchased from the Retro Reich upon them, as a delegation of Onobots came to bid them farewell. The Risuners waved to them and welcomed them with smiles, having cherished their help a lot over the time of their stay. Neriah however was a bit saddened when she could not see Ardy among these Onobots.

„Greetings Risuners, I am RG-083, some of you may know me already. RD-439 seems to not be able to make it for your departure, and so in his stead I would like once more thank you for your visit and help and to wish you save travels to your designated home.“
Neriah was still a bit disappointed, but nonetheless accepted the kind words with a smile.
„We should be thanking you! You guys have been such cool hosts, really! I hope I can come back soon, your nation got so much interesting stuff. Please say thanks to Ardy for me too.“
The Onobots and their new squirrelly friends exchanged pleasantries for one last time as the Risuners began to turn and head to their ships, ready to head home.

Part 2.
„WAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIT!“ a scream came towards the harbor. From afar, people could see an Onobot running with all his might towards the group. It was quite a sight to see such a mass of metal move so fast, and the pressure of this left cracks in the road he ran upon it. As the Onobot came closer, Neriah could not help but grin and happily wave, as she recognized who it was.
„Ardy! You came after all, I am glad you came to say goodbye.“ but Ardy only shook his head as he got close to her.
„No, that is not my intention at all.“ Everyone was confused at these words and looked at Ardy with tilted heads trying to figure out what he means.
„Over the last few days I was confused about myself and how I felt but thanks to talking with someone over the night, I think I finally understand, and I do not want to say goodbye.“
„I don't understand what you mean?“ Neriah and the other Risuners simply could not get what Ardy was trying to say, but they got used to the somewhat different nature of Onobots and so simply waited for him to clarify. The other Onobots however grew more and more fidgety as Ardy denied all requests for file sharing, leaving them completely in the dark, something they were not used to at all.
„The last days have been some of the most fun days I have ever had. Through you, it feels as if I have come to learn about a world that is far greater than the one I have known.“
„Uhh, thanks for the compliment, if you wanna learn more about the world, you can always come visit us?“
Ardy struggled to get out what he truly wanted to say, just the thought of the words he had to say made his circuit burn hot, but he knew he had to say them no matter what, or he would forever regret not speaking them.
„No, I do not mean the planet, but my personal world that grew through you. The way you smile when you are happy or frown when you are sad. The way you care about your fellow Risuners and strangers of a different nation no matter what. The way you carry yourself and how each action of yours seems to radiate light.“
Hearing these praises, Neriah grew quite red in the face, while Ardy's body gave off a slight vrrr as if fans were working overtime. The Onobots watching seem to almost vibrate from stress not understanding what was happening, whereas the Risuners seemed to fully grasp the situation and giddily drew closer, watching the scene unfold before them with anticipation as Ardy continued.
„I cannot imagine my World without this anymore. Without YOU anymore.“
Ardy tried to reach for something in his pocket, but his nervousness overwrote his programming, and what should have been an easy motion instead turned to fumbling as seconds felt like minutes. Finally, he managed to procure a small box. As he presented it towards Neriah, he revealed a small metallic hardware nut inside. The Onobots assembled were shocked to see this particular item, betraying the worth it meant to them.
„This nut was part of one of the eldest Onobots that came with us to this planet and fought valiantly to secure our spot on this world. To us, it is one of the most valuable treasures we have, and it took me quite a while to convince our leader to allow me this item, but I could not think of anything else that could measure up to the worth you mean to me."
Ardy began to kneel, as he lowered his body, what should have been a quick moment felt instead like an eternity, Neriah was paralyzed, her face plastered with a mixture of a smile and utter shock. The bystanders were having a shine in their eyes that showed just how eager they were for what was to come, and prayed to their deities in their mind to have this torturing eternity finally end. As Ardy finally touched the floor with his knees, he looked up at Neriah with a steeled resolve.
„Once more I will say, I did not come to say goodbye to you! Quite the opposite, I want to come with you and share my world with yours. But not as a visitor or as a friend, no. I want to come with you as your husband for life, so I ask of you.“
Ardy stretched out the box towards Neriah and everyone was holding their breath in anticipation to finally hear the final question.

„I love you, would you please marry me?“

At long last, we've arrived at Gelanora. The road across Nanoramune was long, but straightfoward. It seems Citrora was right, and bandits want no part of a military convoy that can spot and kill them at 300 paces, though there was a singular incident with a rogue bootlegger trying to supplement his income. Thankfully, through some quick thinking from Niwa, we incapacitated them.

Gelanora, the northernmost undisputed city of the Himedom, is built around and above a sea cave with natural hot springs, an almost fitting final destination of our Deadbeat guests. For a settlement so cold, it has a surprising number of tourist amenities, nanora. To the west of the cliff face with the main sea cave is the rocky, industrial coast, where the Luknights of the Sea bring in their catches of large arctic tuna with a hearty "Nnaaa", a rare uncandied delicacy for the Himedom. Luknights of trade also frequent these ports with goods from across the arctic sea. To the east lie the white sugar sand beaches, where little Lupages play in the water while it is still a bearable temperature. During the fall and spring, when the seas freeze by it is not yet too cold to play outside, I am told local vendors like to sell "snow syrups" for making one's own icy treat. I should try to see if we may acquire some out of season for our Deadbeat guests.

As specified by the Hime's decree, I have shown Magnus the plot provided by the Deadbeat base/embassy, on the far west of Gelanora. It contains a nice space of both solid land and coast, and Magnus seemed more than satisfied (though not before testing the soil a bit). While the base is constructed, we have been lodging in prized hotel, the Sweet Hime Sorbet Lodge. While not the Lady Hime by any means, its interior is warm and inviting, with a sweetbread-aromatized sauna room and private (though small) hot spring tub.

I wanted an excuse to post this picture again.

I got two ideas for fairies changing shape. The first is that fairies are micro-colony organisms, making them more like slimes. Which I think is too retarded of an idea. The other idea is that fairies combine together to create an illusion that fools our eyes. What we would see as a monster or a falling burning branch is actually a bunch of fairies moving together. Illusions would be easy to make with reflective fairy dust in the forest twilight. Just a couple of ideas. Anyway I'll drop fairies and do something else.

Question for climate anons. /vrt/ is a humid subtropical climate next to a tropical savanna. Does this savanna have long or short dry seasons? To the south there's a monsoon that dumps all its water in the middle of the indie continent. But there's also the cooler subtropical air in the north. I'm wondering if /vrt/ could have a wet seasons in spring and fall, but they're also at risk of having tornadoes.

The monsoonal effect of North Indie continent is probably fairly weak (not to be confused with the presence of the tropical monsoon climate), so I would say the dry season will likely be long but mild, which means spring and fall can be relatively wet (helped by its coastal position).

/vrt/ will definitely experience cyclones during the wet seasons due to its position. Tornados will be present but fairly uncommon (then again, my perception is probably skewed by the Great Plains Tornado Alley, which I think has more tornados than the rest of the world combined). I would say the key difference's that since North Indie continent is smaller than North America (although I could be wrong in that regard), the weak monsoonal effect means the warm and cold air won't collide too common, making tornados rarer. If it has a stronger monsoon, the chance of tornado should increase accordingly.

The thing is, chuubanite is supposed to occur naturally within each nation's borders. Where will the squids get their chuubanite? Whaling was also a very global industry. Whaling ships usually stay in far ocean for years before returning with a full hold of tried oils and other whale parts. The chuubanite from squids probably should be a specialized thing instead of your only source of it.

It's a case of it being a very interesting location, and it being an island allowing both for there being very different fauna/flora around, and an explanation for long isolation that could give room for the wildlife and the populace to develop into what they are.
