Probably just didn't realize how much of an actual job it was and thought it wouldn't interfere with her roommate's work.

Several reasons
1 - turns out streaming isn't just turning on your pc for an hour a day and requires preparation, getting permissions for games, etc.
2 - working with hololive is not a good business when your main source of income is chinese gacha
