Thanks! I don't know how to really show its health consequences apart from saying /vnug/ is pretty sanitary for its time, but adding celebrations sounds like a good idea! Liora did make a selling bathwater joke but that likely won't work

Bathing will be quite regular since it's just good to have a hot steam bath after a whole day of work, either because you feel cold from the outside or you feel sweaty because of all the clothes you wear to avoid feeling cold. For celebrations dedicated to bathing, putting one around winter solstice seems natural, but having one around summer solstice might not be a bad idea either if I go for something like Saturnalia. It might be fun to have a sub-sect dedicated to Wiowa, maybe something similar to cult of Dionysus?

I'm not an oldfag obviously, but personally speaking I keep my opinions to myself unless something is either setting-breaking, or the person posting it directly asks for feedback/opinions. This isn't out of malice or any desire to stay in a "clique," but rather because not everyone wants feedback on every little thing. Sometimes people are just writing to have fun, and jumping in with concrit will just annoy them, either because it's unnecessarily nitpicky when they aren't trying to take a particular piece very seriously to begin with, or because it goes against their plans. I can't speak for everyone obviously but on my end at least it's mostly just courtesy.

My head cannon for /vtwbg/ is that there is just a single railroad station on its border, where a magical train takes you to a floating island in the middle of nowhere. There you swipe your id card and a portal opens up to a pocket dimension where all of us gather. It's kinda guild hall-y and everyone just does their own thing.

Is it setting breaking? Yes, but the nation itself would be on a meta level anyway, so we can go a bit wild.

Yes, it would be unrealistic for certain developments to only be utilized one way or another without also being used for the "forbidden" technologies, but having the entire world technologically frozen forever is just as unrealistic. This isn't even taking into account reps who write more slowly and/or thoroughly, who might have fleshed out one or two sections of their lore in the time it takes faster writers to write about their nation making all these tech advances. There are the lyrics:

/vtwbg/ unifies to show those traitors hell

They never care about their thread.

The passion comes from us

From Niji, to Retro, to Holo

Our Team will honor their lore

And /hlgg/'s sea dogs

Our Team will make them seethe

We outpace the lowly heathens

Their bait threads won't make them beat us

AAA ha ha ha ha ha ha

Come forth and witness the might of the world building general's might

You said it's already possible to write medieval fantasy, and they responded that while that's true, it's not possible to interact with other nations in the context of this medieval fantasy, because it would be happening in the past. So it's still not the same as a medieval fantasy AU. But for some reason you seem to have forgotten the context, and are now just saying it's possible to write in the past? That's it. However if you run into a pack of 20 bugbears to one adventurer then you're screwed. Also I do like monster variety where they are threatening at every size. Small monsters can be just as threatening as big monsters if you're unaware. A slime puddle no bigger than a glass of water can quickly dissolve your entire body if it spreads out thin enough.

Connections between them are also vital, and it should be noted that a human's brain experiences dramatic growth from the time they're born until they time they become adults due to the forming of new connections. While brain size and intelligence aren't directly linked, I think it's fair to consider it a limiting factor.

2) keep in mind we shouldn't steal every monhun monster since, y'know, the actual /mans/ general nor the boys are really connected unlike say /luna/ who is really into it and forms a core part of their culture

Erlea Aoz. /nasfaqg/-born Kapu-min in her early 30's. Officially, Senior Dispatch Manager at Allied Fruit Co.; unofficially, a fixer and information broker in charge of the 'Near-East' Fruit Co. charter. Her past has been scrubbed and sanitized in the official documents presenting her as a clerk, but she rose through the ranks by active field work. Polygot, skilled cryptographer, and an expert at social engineering. Used to be a "cleaner", but a knee injury put a stop to that line of work, and can still be felt in her asymmetrical gait. Meticulous, with great attention to detail is borderline pedantic. While her competence is undeniable, it is intermingled with a dangerous mix of treachery and ambition as she sees the Watamelon expedition as her proving ground to the higher-ups at the main conglomerate.
Her job as a de facto fixer entails gathering relevant information, assessing the problem, calling in contacts/contractors/experts, getting necessary equipment, and ultimately assembling an efficient operations team from her subordinates and sometimes external sources.
Tell me if you need to know about her, her job, subordinates, Fruit Co. itself, or anything else.

Just make them very hard to manufacture on top of running out of power relatively quickly. Not like the average guns of Vitubia are accurate enough to hit you more than half a dozen times during the course of battle. And the glyph which gives the chuubanite the 'instructions" would most likely be very complex as well. Don't think the material should matter. The "shield generator" could be a device you strap to your armor instead of being integrated into the it. Kinda like a near east mirror armor.

Bread dog... Seasoned and lacquered wood most likely need a lot of heat to start burning. And flaming arrows of the real life kind wouldn't be used widely in the field. Those are only really useful in sieges and maybe naval combat. And objects thrown from slings should still be pretty fast. So the year /who/ officially gets established would be around ~617.5 years ago from 1120. Of course most people have probably given up on giving precise time and date for things that happened very far back. But having /who/ be more than 200 years old would be better imo. Was going to say this, we're mostly looking for inspiration here on /mans/ regarding the dangers of the island. Speaking of which, we may want to consider smaller monsters too that might exist in larger quantities. Hell, maybe even some goblin equivalent (small tribal race hostile to everyone. Weak and cowardly when on their own)
>>30707884
Sounds cool but I'm not sure how exactly that would work? Part of why these creatures appear on the island is due to the local chuubanite. Only way I could see it work is if whatever species that became them migrated to the isles (or from morig to mans) a very long time ago, thus creating a significant divergence in evolution

Also monkeys and apes don't really punch. They grab and bite. Still if you want punch monke then his anatomy has to be built for punching. Armored knuckles would be a given. Punch monke also punches stone walls to break them. Including man-made walls. Punch monke like his cousin Boner monke loves alcohol. Punch monke is infamously known as drunken monkey fist. Monke is not very good at climbing. He punches trees to knock down fruit. Also unlike his cousin this monke is very aggressive, disorderly, and violent to anyone when its drunk, which is 70% of the time. Thoughts?
