I streamed. Did some Elden Ring invasion stuff thanks to the new update. Streamed on youtube. Had one new viewer there. Canadian fella, said he was living off the grid and that his internet is shitty because he lives in the middle of nowhere. I've met some pretty interesting random people that popped in to my streams from time to time. A young and edgy greek boy as well. Said he cheated a lot in Minecraft. Another fella from Chicago has been a loyal viewer of mine for the longest time too. Feels like I'm a bartender sometimes, hosting for these peculiar strangers. Plan on streaming on Twitch next time and just uploading the vods to youtube, maybe people will see that I'm doing my streaming there instead. It doesn't help that my only free days are Wednesdays and Thursdays, but I can try and squeeze some early Friday streams if I can. It felt good to just turn on a stream, talk and do stuff. Some funny things happened as well. If things keep going this way, I can see myself getting into the habit of just streaming.

Word of advice to some of you. If you plug in a USB microphone to your computer, check the sound control panel of your PC and make sure to set your gain there as you want it. Had this issue before where the PC would give it a gain of 90, had lots of clipping issues and couldn't figure out why until I went there. Motherfucking computers. Damn things are only smart when you're the ones guiding them. Dumb as fuck otherwise. Had to delete a fun stream I had a while ago because of it. Always test your audio.

1. being master put's me at about rank 6000 of EUW and there's probably like 30k+ masters in total. On top of that, every league player has a massive ego so you can be sure a fuckton of these people also stream. I won't really stand out.

2. People who play / watch league are some of the most insufferable creatures. This isn't my hot take everyone knows this. Watch any popular league streamer and see how they are being made fun of 24/7. Ask yourself if you want to deal with this sort of cranial discharge 8 hours a day, even for money. I don't want to antagonize my viewers, i just want to have a good time. League players don't. They go so far to go to a challenger stream to tell them how bad they are and how they should play the game to make themselves feel better. I can't even play normal games with friends without getting insulted for having a high rank.

I have thick skin, but that doesn't mean i want to willingly subject myself to this treatment on stream. Yes there's nice people too and i could try to appeal to those with my no-rage comfy league gaming but at that point I'm back to 2viewing. I'll do more League streams in the future, but they are the worst performing out of all of my streams without advertising for obvious reasons.

What is the minimum Mbps for download and upload to have a decent stream. I live in an area where there's no access to cable or fiber-optic in the foreseeable future and am currently on wireless broadband. I think the fastest I can get is 50 Mbps, but it is quite expensive. Been holding out on Starlink, but not sure when or if it will even be available in my area.

If you can do clips for youtube / twitter for your model and get followers that way then yes it'll help a bit. I still haven't set it up for myself yet (waiting on a package to get here), but I asked the thread a little while ago if anybody uses a USB foot pedal for this and got a few responses that say they do. I went with one that has three pedals.
My rigging is good enough that it can pretty accurately reflect when I have a concerned or angry look on my face, but I want to be able to look shocked or smug at any given moment without taking my hands off of my mouse or controller whenever I'm playing a game. Seems like the best way I can think of to be able to do that quickly during handcam streams, too.

If you have the money you could buy a stream deck and use the vtubestudio plug ins.
Stream decks are super useful for things other than just facial expressions, I use it to toggle item scenes in vtubestudio, switch scenes in OBS, and as a panic button in case of emergencies.
I can not recommend it enough.

If you can't get a stream deck you can write down your combination of keys on a note and place it by your monitor so you don't forget while love.
