Honestly this is kind of bullshit. I did a similar thing with something that isn't ASMR and it helped me out even in my more traditional streams. As long as you realize you are doing it just to gain at least a little bit more of a following you can use it as a stepping stone onto what you actually really want to do. As long as you make sure not to get really demoralized from having significantly lower ccv on your non-asmr streams you can still get quite the real incline even from just dabbling in this kind of content just to get an initial audience. It can be a really huge boost even if you don't plan on sticking with asmr for the long run.

The end goal is to either be good enough for auditions or to get your own audience and learn and hone the skills enough to be a good indie vtuber.
You are an aspiring vtuber and your metric of success is different than what it used to be.
Like There are a lot of arguments favoring staying as an indie as well today especially with how shaky small corpos are.
Asp is for Aspiring vtubers of all types now not just auds as it used to be.
And if you got the ropes going on now to stream and are like above let’s say30-50 ccv and are growing from that that’s a good time to venture out of here unless you want to help others.This place can be a comforting pit of stagnation be surrounded by others like you but that doesn’t mean you can’t grow and try to integrate to the next level be it passing corpo auditions or becoming wvt or just doing your own thing if it’s a hobby.
By all means stay if you can find this place useful but once you get the grasp of things by either getting that corpo audition pass, or that comfortable growth as an indie there is no point of staying here.
Just know that after a year you should preferably be a standalone chuuba away from asp as your identity and not to fall in the same pitfalls as other asp vtubers prior to you.

Well with ASMR just as with everything else, you need to have something people want to come to you for. Specializing on a couple triggers can do that for you.
