Neriah logs ch.3

I FUCKING LOVE THIS PLACE. It's a shame I cant stay longer because for fucks sake I had way too much fun. I got to eat lots of delicious nuts, exchange nuts with so many young and cute boys, collect so many PRETTY GEMS, and even get an arsenal of old weapons for the boys back home to learn how to make for ourselves.
Ok so I did go a bit overboard and made myself broke. Too busy spending all my money on gems. But luckily it seems that squirrel people are loved here so it was easy to make my money back. I bet people probably think I am a huge slut but I just don't give a fuck anymore. I get to endulge in my fetish AND get paid for it! And not only that but I get to help the young virgins here with their future sex lives. Everyone wins!

So about what I will be bringing back to my homeland. Of course we have our lovely amethyst but I also want /risu/ to have guns. Even though other nations look at this like junk we see it as treasure and the next step to keeping up with the powers of the world. We may even be able to reverse engineer these old guns and have a national gun for risuners. That would be so cool!
Fuck I really can't contain how amazing the Retro Reich is. I'm such a fucking nerd and this is the perfect place for nerds why do I have to leave?

Alright well anyway here we are. It has been quite some time and I have had many adventures. The pictures from the onobots will stay in my personal collection and so will a few of the other things i picked up but oh boy am I gonna earn a FUCKLOAD OF NUTS when we get back. The ship is being loaded up right now as I write this and we are all about to head out. I definitely need to come back here though. Even if I cant continue acting as a sexual instructor for the virgins then at least I can make an excuse saying I'm collecting weapons for the homeland.
Oh Retro Reich. I hope our two nations can get along. If your people ever feel stressed out then come on over. We would love to exchange our nuts with you.

Yup, I'm here! Comfydants are unlikely to have much of a food culture, actually, but if you'd be willing, a menu for Briskadets would be great! They're the area marked Brisketia on this (noncanon, border autists don't jump me) map: https://files.catbox.moe/fntsu5.png You can assume they have access to any crops capable of being grown in /nenmen/ or /lazulight/. They would have a strong culture of experimenting with lots of different recipes due to the influence of their chuuba, so feel free to go wild with it.
>we may be able to build some appliances from scratch
Comfydants have the knowledge, but they're unlikely to apply it due to concerns about global warming and the aforementioned lack of food culture. I'd be interested to hear your ideas though! Unlikely isn't the same as absolutely not, after all.

It's actually about winds, currents, and volcanic ash - I figured it be a climate question. Say that Infinitum suffered an eruption 300 years ago, causing a 200 year volcanic winter. I know that this isn't realistic - volcanic winters don't last that long or stay localized to just the island. Moreoever, everyone should've died a few years in. This is a mass extinction event.

Stay with me here.

This is the current wind map: https://files.catbox.moe/9o32xl.png.. How possible would it be to keep *most* of the volcanic ash clouds to the area of pic related? I wanted to make the Borg cube part of our lore, and it ties nicely into the volcanic winter idea i've been using for a week or two (inspired by Frostpunk).

Also, to what degree would such an event have on the world, and how?

>> No.30161083

>>30160894
My reasoning (aka the idea I had at random and really want to use)
>Mt. Boros erupted and caused a volcanic winter
>heavy ash affected far more than just infinity - global winds brought much of it southward
>the area affected became incredibly difficult to traverse and toxic to stay in for too long, with sailors refusing to to go near in even after it settled a century after
>almost impossible to navigate and completely impossible to map the region as the world around it progressed into the exploration era
>Infinity's fate remained a mystery, and much of the knowledge of its geography was lost to the world for 300 years
>the area has been referred to as the [Borg] ever since

It looks like you're in the subtropical monsoon. Which means you'll have tons of fruit but lots of rainfall in the spring. Since you have a fairly warm-ish winter you can plant seeds in winter then let the monsoon rains germinate them. Long and short is anything that grows in /mans/ would grow here. Keep in mind of the floods in the spring though. Figs, almonds, avacados, aguave, ginger, etc. As long as the crops resist heat and a dry autumn and winter you should have a good crop.

Since you're inland you have a good variety of livestock. If you have grasslands then cattle's a must have. Cattle brings beef and milk. Which brings cream, butter, and cheese. Bamboo's also a pretty good crop to grow as a material and food. Since you have a not-too-dry season I think you can grow grapes, tomatoes, cabbages, and some grains like wheat, barely, oat, and rye. Its sadly too dry for rice in the fall. But spring rice is a good option. Research subtropical crops and plan the weather with monsoon patterns.

>> No.30161975

>>30161083
I gather this is to explain /inf/'s isolation from the rest of the world? Hmm, the big bit of handwaving this asks is for the ashes to be both toxic and to remain in the air long enough for generations of sailors to refuse approaching it. Volcanic ash just can't do that, no two ways about it.
What you could do, is have massive amounts of toxic gas be continuously expelled by thermal vents on /inf/ following the big eruption at the start. This could make the air unfit to breathe for people coming near, though this is admittedly still a bit fantastical. Also, this would doom everyone on the island to dying, but it sounds like you have a way around that.

I was thinking Glasyohni Metzi, but also Eitryohni Xochitl would be consulted due to the practical nature of these weapons as a covert operations tool. Also double checking that any Nahuatl names are ok to be used for characters that fill these positions, if they need names at all. Thanks!

I actually thought of this. I'm not joking: Yes, Kronii Milk. Breast milk of women who were fed Snake Fang was something of a party drug in high society before the Great Winter. It gave you strength, heightened the senses, and was also full of nutrients. When Mt. Boros erupted, all production of it was seized and refined, and soon enough Priestesses were the ones pumping out milk. We're talking unethical mass production industry here. It was enough to keep the Kronies going through the darkest times.

Ohhhh, that stuff honestly didn't even occur to me but yeah, Comfydants would probably be willing to make appliances like that. I don't think it would really occur to them at first either, but after being in this timeline for a bit they would undoubtedly relax a little and start taking more of an interest in normal, day-to-day life things like cooking. If you still want to make a menu for them I'd be interested in seeing it, honestly. But I have to go now, so I'll respond to any further replies tomorrow. Things have eased up since, and the process has been refined to the point that they can still produce a lot without having to be strapped to the "priestess duty station" 12 hours a day anymore. Also, modern Kronii Milk is actually watered down compared to the stuff from the Winter. It's no longer necessary that each bottle pack that much a punch.

The different elements in the escutcheon represent:
Book: Knowledge, Wisdom, Tradition and Reason
Waterwheel: Industry, Technology, Human ingenuity and Progress
Fortress: Security, Honor, Steadfastness and Memorial of the Founding War
Cauldron: Justice and Community
The inescutcheon in the middle consists of the Nameless One's Crest, which placed within the context of the overall design represents the guidance the Nameless One gives in these aspects of the country.

I see paperclikouhai finally got himself a trip. Hope that ends the falseflagging operation.

For infinity, you can always handwave a bit, justify things with magic. Morig chuubanite already has a cooling effect, infnity chuubanite could have it as well, chuubanite effects, especially general ones like that, do not have to be exclusive.

Thus, the eruption released a massive amount of infinity chuubanite that then cooled down the area for a long time. Subsequent smaller eruptions kept the area cold for centuries.

Borg cube is the range of the magical effect. Foreign ships could avoid it due to not wanting to deal with volatile magics.

Everyone else, morning, how are you this fine day?

Well, like I mentioned before, my idea for the Indie part of /kr/ would be a bunch of smaller states, from minor tribes to city-states, with Tonya being the most prominent one and the de facto leader of the Indie states
They're probably more culturally similar to Mujigae than /vnug/, since I assume many of them tend to stream in Korean, with Tonya being the main exception that I know
Would it make sense for Tonya to be next to /vnug? She seems fairly close to Liora, but I don't know if she's also close to other vtubers

I think some of the former nijiKR went indies after graduation so that could work for those states, although ICly that depends on how hostile the new one was to the remnants

>> No.30182419

We would want it within our capital and cultural center of Hanseong for Mujigae and Tsushima, a vassal would like one in its capital of Myeongyang. Make them in traditional Korean Architecture except on Tsushima, which will be Japanese.
>>30182313
I saw it that way too. Agreed about the semantics, I am just going off of what traditionally a Korean State would have been so they would likely be Feudatories in that aspect, unlike vnug which is different. What do you think?

The Chinese state from Qin is a highly centralized state, which both its official ideology of Confucianism and its incorporation into the examination system serve to cement the absolute status of the Emperor, aside from the obvious military, taxation and governing system. From what I can tell, Mujigae is meant to represent nijiKR (or at least, what remained in Nijisanji after the branch merge), in which case it being more centralised seems reasonable, and I think most of nijiKR streams/streamed in Korean, so the Korean cultural trappings can work too. I'm just not too sure if it makes sense to apply to the rest of /kr/ or /kr/'s own structure as well. Like I mentioned before, indies who used to be nijiKR could be holdouts of the old regime (ironically), while the rest might not be very integrated into Mujigae's centralised system despite cultural similarities and once being part of it. The size and nature of these smaller Indie states will vary a lot, both depending on their size (reflecting their presence in our thread) and their economy (which is dependent on their climate, biome and local resources)
>I don't want to overcomplicate things honestly

/who/ has always been a democracy. But right now the Republic would likely be reluctant to join the Pact. Aside from some reasons raised by other anons opposing the pact's requirements (that it should have more to do with religion rather than "meta" reasons), there's also geopolitical concerns and thread relations. The indie continent is one of our biggest markets, depends on the history of /vsj/, the traditional wisdom could be to limit it's growth and influence as much as possible. The rise of /vsj/ may also threaten already profitable and friendly relations with indie countries like /vrt/. /who/ the thread also doesn't really want anything to do with /vsj/ especially when there are catalogfags that occasionally come in and post bait. Thus far there's also no interaction between Mumei and any /vsj/ streamers. Both of these factors combined, I'm not sure what the relationship would be. It would have to depend on how /vsj/'s lore and history ultimately end up and some deliberation between hoomans who are involved in this project.

The active threads might need to come together and develop a world or region wide naval history at some point. Since all navies have "adopted'(or rather copied) the same or similar rating system it can be an opportunity to write how that came about and spread, or it is rather a convergent evolution.
Also I'm not sure about the West fleet having only two ships-of-the-line. There are a lot more activity in the Alivrian Sea compared to the Heavenly sea due to the sheer amount of countries that are in relative proximity to each other. There's also the threat from /meat/heads even though they've ceased their raiding. Traditionally the Western fleet being stronger would probably make more sense. Excellent nanora! I must establish a Lunaito Royal Ice Cream Company and search into ways to preserve the product across the sea. Perhaps the mythical "refrigerators" which the star people used during sapling trades...
The heat will require some adaptation for the lunaitos, however, lunaitos are not known to fold by the whims of nature! Our castles are built in the stormlands and stand in the face of great winds and schizo arrows, a little heat will not daunt us, nanora!
If you like, we can share the many castle siege and protection strategies and weapons that we've implemented in the past, though we have good relations with the watamates, we cannot condone piracy and extortion and will at least help you establish castle defenses on the coast. The lunaitos will continue to wear their armor, as is tradition, though if the heat does become too much we will consider less thick plate and different colorations, I'd already thought that these knights would have winged emblems attached to their shoulder plates to show their training so it would be par for the course.
What do you think would be a good name for the order of lunaitos trained in art of gunpowder?

I like both of these, so I propose that the Lunaitos that return the the Candy Kingdom and continue their musket training be called the Order of Pixie Dust, and individual musket knights take on the title of Pixie Dust Musketeers but that Mousquetaires de la Garde be their name while in /mep/ territory as a localization.
We could also consider units of lunaitos with heavier shields that act as protection for musketeer units while preparing to fire again. This is looking to be a very formidable army, I look forward to our collaborations in warfare, nanora!
Also, should you ever face civil unrest or threat due to the whims of the peasantry, do not fear the usage of a firm lunaitos hand to correct the nation. Power belongs to the crown! It is the divine right of royalty to lead the people and obey, nanora!

This basically, I was considering asking the risuners and deadbeats to house a certain host of luknights and lusquires in order to better acclimate them to a different climate so if you're willing we could possibly engage in a monhun to break bread between our two nations instead of our only relation being the Hickorypuffs (royalty dont like them, nanora). We can't dishonor the kingdom or let our allies down by getting sudden weak spells from glucose deficiency or fainting during battles so a few lusquires will be drilled in the ways of the lunaito honor code and battle tactics before being sent out to explore and learn more for the sake of protecting the Candy Kingdom and its allies.
If you've got a warm climate that isn't too extreme, that'd be great for us and we might also be able to create an unofficial knightly order of Hickory Puffs

I do suggest offering trade in the form of new ice cream flavors to keep relations good since there would probably be minor tension between our nations due to our relationship with /nasa/ and the relationship that /risu/ had with them. I don't think any sanalaitos would be among the population of trainees specifically but since they have been accepted as full citizens and many were children, there is a chance that a lusquire of sanalite blood might be present.

It's less that the nation has existed to those days, more that legends speak of the island first being populated in those days (partly to justify why people show non-traditional human traits such as animal ears and horns which would likely take a long time to develop, and also due to the fear of the branch coming into existance being quite old from my memory)
That said, I do think it wouldn't be too wrong to expect /mans/ entering the world stage as an officially recognized nation to be a fairly recent event. Maybe dating back a century +/- a decade or two. Should allow for some somewhat historical deals to be made, and also for some first contact stuff.

idk, part of me thinks that's kind of a fair thing to expect from completely new factions. we can't say every nation existed from the very beginning, that's for sure. the culture of the nation could precede the nation, though, and they could be a developed nation that was introduced to the realm of /vt/, similar to /nasa/ crash landing.

ya, as i said, the stuff that would lead up to a new nation being formed is perfectly fine, i just don't want a thread that was born literally yesterday to claim everyone owes it respect for being a very ancient, and very wise nation, and writing their lore to support that claim when that is clearly not reflective at all of their thread culture.

There's really no chance that any Sanalaito adults are going to be among the adult luknights sent over, most of them weren't fighters and would still need to go through the same training a normal luknight would to become a full blown luknight. Not that a sanalaito wouldn't become a luknight but that they wouldn't be able to do it in such a short time with traditional lunaito requirements. The adults are also training but they're more like chaperones for the rest of the lusquires.
also this would probably be your best shot at nut exchange with lunaitos since lusquires aren't as stingy about their honor and a percentage of these lusquires are descended of bunaitos that want a shot at traveling the world. Think of it like a romantic summer camp romp in the bushes, except very, very sweet.

I love complicating factors nanora!
So far we have no relation to the westerners, aside from our belief in Pink Womanism which may forbid us from explicitly declaring war on them but which should allow for our present knights to defend and supply /mep/. I will need to look into how many of these nations are monarchistic and how many are not, lunaitos live in a perfect society where all is well and the noble classes and peasant classes live in peace and harmony (aside from the occasional bandit and lunshine smuggler) so democracy is a very strange and muddled idea outside of small groups or organizations. Bunaitos, Luneets, and Luknights all have their place, as determined by the divine power of the Hime Vessel who is Hime-Sama's will made manifest.
