I'm a programmer and have even streamed while programming and even I think coding for a stream is really boring unless you can somehow turn it into a zatsudan or something interesting for people watching that's very visual. If most of your time is spent with an IDE open, it's hard to make that engaging for audience that's not already weirdly invested in programming. On the streamer's side, it's also really hard to program and talk at the same time. I guess you'd get better at it with time, but programming is something that's really hard to do "automatically" unless you're writing something where you already know exactly what you need to do and write.
