There are a couple advantages. It eases them into the streaming side of things along with prep and reviewing, it reduces the potential fuck ups when they're still building their audience, it creates a sense of limited goods and leaves the audience wanting for more and it's short enough that you can check out the streams of the other boys as well without it being too much of a time investment to generate more interest and finally all of that helps with the youtube algorhythm to do shorter but consistent videos to make them appear on more feeds and have more people check them out.
Can't really fault them for doing it this way, especially since there's no monetization currently active. It's all about generating interest and building a base audience at this stage.
