Not only that but trying to do a long term campaign was a mistake in the first place. There's a big reason why the JP rpg nerds only play on short, at most 2 session games. They are much easier to make it work under their schedules, there's less thinking about the characters because they're basically throwaways so the players don't get super attached and tend to go for wilder concepts that they wouldn't want to play for more than a couple of sessions, and it's also way less work for the game master who only need to put work on those short sessions. Not to mention that if Mori truly wanted to make this work she should've easied them out with one shots to get them used to the system and help them decide if they really wanted to dedicate themselves on a months long campaign. It was a collection of bad decisions that I hope Vesper or whoever tries it again in the future takes into consideration.

True, but the quality of a GM doesn't change how you need to set expectations. Even a great master can't really salvage a game where sessions are spaced out by weeks to sometimes months and players who can't seem to give a damn about learning the rules or the story itself. Also, I forgot to point that out, timezones. Trying to make a game work with members scattered around at least 4 timezones isn't even a challenge, it's masochism.

Not a troll question but completely serious since I haven't been watching his streams and I genuinely don't know if it's come up. But is it an intentional choice on Vesper's part to keep his streams roughly about an hour, or is it just how it's worked out so far and he plans to do longer streams in the future? Obviously I'm not the kind of person to care about numbers or else I wouldn't be here, but I have heard it's a good strategy for maintaining high viewership because people are more willing to come regularly and stick around more when they know it won't be much of a time investment.

As far as I'm concerned, /stars/ is for all Holostars fans, with an accent on the JP boys, while /mans/ is for Tempus. Overall, it's pretty much exactly what I wanted, most of the new traffic went to the spilt, and while this thread has definitely gotten more bait, it's more or less the same thing without being too tribalistic
