If we can have 2 /lig/ threads at once, why not 3? Edition

>What is /lig/?
/lig/ is a thread for viewers to find, share, and discuss indie vtubers who have on average 500 viewers or more.

>Why /lig/?
Large indie vtubers have more net fans, but they are outnumbered by 2views by the thousands. This is a thread for the VIP, regardless of what language they stream on.

>Can I shill my 499view oshi here?
Considering averages fluctuate widely, all the way down to 100 is reasonable. The minimal requirement however is being Twitch partner or the YouTube equivalent in numbers.

Numbers for 7/25:

1: https://twitch.tv/Shylily (7,086)
2: https://twitch.tv/Nihmune (5,689)
3: https://twitch.tv/Filian (4,749)
4: https://twitch.tv/Ikumi (2,405)
5: https://twitch.tv/OniGiriEN (2,131)
6: https://twitch.tv/BuffPup (1,666)
7: https://twitch.tv/Trickywi (1,509)

Non-English:

https://twitch.tv/viichan6 (8,156) *Korean
https://twitch.tv/cotton__123 (6,543) *Korean
https://twitch.tv/Jingburger (6,451) *Korean

>Wait isn't that one a corpo?
For historical reasons, small companies are fine temporarily as long as they have one talent at 500-ish.

Well yeah. Even outright offensive and hostile posts have more weight, because they're posted anonymously. It suggests they're not posted just to upset the chuuba themself, unlike a DM or a post in their Discord would. It's like talking behind someone's back.

>>29281555
Just depends on what anons are being honest about. It can both be useful and especially hurting. If someone's shit-talking the quality of a streamer, decline of it or something like that, it can obviously be very useful.

>>29281688
But see, people who aren't asshats will be brutally honest when anonymous. That's the whole point. Someone who is brutally honest in-person or with a nickname, is obviously an asshat, so a chuuba reading their post will treat it as such.
But read that same post written anonymously and it obviously has all the more weight. It's like hearing someone talk behind your back.

And many, if not most, people place vastly more weight on voiced opinions than statistics and heuristics. When you add a human "voice" to something, it starts bearing far more weight on a person than all the statistics and all the masses. Especially if it's negative. Why do you think streamers keep getting oneguy'd?
If someone's looking to improve their stream, which do you think holds more value, actual written words with arguments and details, or just CCV numbers and ad revenue calculations?

>>29282679
It doesn't lack context. The context of it is that it's anonymous. It's something said with zero identity involved and with nothing traceable to the person saying it. That is extremely meaningful. Anonymity allows people to open their hearts and speak truth regardless of social approval and consequences. Things they would never dare say in public, but think are true.
>Most actually helpful feedback comes from people who know what they're talking about, and perhaps more importantly, you know that they know what they're talking about.
And? Do streamers only care about other streamers and their views? I don't know about you, but in my own field, the opinions and views of the "viewers" are just as important to me as peer review. They're the intended audience after all, the people the service is produced for.

Nice strawman

And streamers absolutely don't have good statistcs to base their decisions on, a stream or part of a stream depends on so many factors, was someone else streaming, was something special happening like a public holiday, was my last stream good enough to get people to he k out this one, did a clip go viral, was I mentioned by a bigger streamer 10 minutes ago... Trying to figure that out is hard, and I've seen streamers even claim that a certain game doesn't do well when in fact it was one of their all time highest view game, even when they have the data they still suck at interpreting it. Yeah the name is pretty funny with how popular fedposting is but it gets its name from the word "federated"; It's actually the best option we have for social media right now in terms of technology and user freedom. It works like email does, anyone can set up and host their own instance and have full control over it. And then you can connect your instance to the greater network and interact with people in other instances. Get banned from an instance you joined or don't like how it's being run?
