So instead of simply "streamers" who you watch to relax, the vtubers are now "idols" who you form a toxic parasocial relationship with, and are constantly fearing they have a boyfriend behind the scenes. This is hardly even an "innovation" by hololive, it's just a direct copy of the Japanese idol industry.

Hololive is incredibly poorly managed, their only asset is a massive shilling operation on 4chan, which was on full display during the Tempus debuts.
