I remember chuubas being interested in russian language. Moona was collabing with russian vtuber, and learning the language with her, HoloEN and JP often tried to speak cute russian on their streams. And Botan? She even has russian rules under her streams.
But now it is stopped. No one tries to speak cute russian in their streams.

There are less than half a billion central asians and east europeans who have some knowledge of russian, but I think 30 years of low population growth have removed many incentives to do so. USSR and Warsaw Pact probably shouldn't have collapsed, then maybe there would be more like 700 million of them with a GDP on par with the West would be more fertile ground for Soviet tubers.

Though realistically it's because despite there being hundreds of millions of Russophones, the profitability is similar to SEA and Latam.
