Gaming, which was discussed above has become hyper-casualized. The majority of games are easy and winning is the expected result instead of something you work for. Often releases are an unbalanced or buggy mess(we can just patch it later lmao), and are filled with DLC and microtransactions. There is a reason the best new games tend to be by small companies or indies nowadays. They don't pander as hard to shitters. Though even the indie game scene is being crowded by early-access games that will never be finished nowadays.
Vtubing has been on this trend for a while, and odds are you aren't part of frame 1 unless you were watching Kizuna Ai back in the day. We went from skits and concerts to gaming streams to ethots who can't even stay in character while discussing how many dicks they took last week. Those "dudebros" who defend them while calling you names because you hate it are in this very thread.
ASMR is one most of you probably don't even know wasn't always coomer bait. Used to be videos of people getting medical checkups or haircuts.
