agreed. shipping is fun, but it can also filter a lot of people. subtle teetee moments are good enough to keep shippers happy while not filtering non-shippers by trying to push something that they're not interested in. also, livers mentioning their own ships just makes the ships feel really contrived and less organic, which drives some shippers away too.

I mean, the dynamic between the two has to be REALLY good for that to work, it can't be some boring ass normal friendship that people can kind of see working, because it needs to actually be good enough for fans of those vtubers to accept it, otherwise what's the point?
