Because of how thick the forest is anyways it would probably be faster to travel to Eastern /who/ then take the highway West towards the coast. Oh, that's a new line of discussion, but since I've seen it discussed it's probably worth mentioning while formalizing all this stuff. When the comfydants' radio comms were first brought up, it was proposed that since chuubanite operates upon a quantum field, and electromagnetic waves (such as radio) operate upon a quantum field, the radio comms could be nerfed appropriately if the chuubanite in the world caused noise and interference in the EM spectrum. They already make emissions of light in the visible spectrum, so in ways this is a generalization of an existing characteristic.
Thoughts on this? I can formalize it further if desired.

NTA but I think there's already a general assumption that's how chuubanite works. For example, the deadbeat in the last thread mentioned the possibility of high concentrations of chuubanite near Mount Mori messing with a bread dog's circuits until it was clarified that bread dogs are already powered by chuubanite. Vitubia natives developing technology would naturally account for chuubanite interference just like humans irl have accounted for radio wave interference. Yeah, I agree for most applications it would be accounted for by engineers as basically an increased source of background noise, for example to have the same effective signal-to-noise ratio a radio would need more power on Vitubia than on the Earth. But as you mention, it can create interesting interactions. With this, the /meat/ smoke bombs would scramble comms at a local level, and individuals or artefacts that contain sufficient amounts of chuubanite would be mobile jammers (though as a balance this would also mean they are not stealthy, unless their chuubanite was shielded with heavy metals/noble gases, since jammers are essentially noise broadcasters).

I cannot give a solid answer because I do not map that out in advance. Pomerlane's problem ultimately will be trying to manage such a large domain that he is building from the ruins of two rotten states. Selenium is going to lose the war (obviously) but both sides are going to lose a lot of good officers in this war, and naturally you will have the problems you talked about with the government shit. I don't know if Selenium's economy can handle this war long term because of its position on the map, that is another factor. Oh and let's not forget that food shortages will be an issue too during this war. I think Pomerlane will just replace the King with a brother or something in the end, but I can't give you a solid answer beyond
